The apartment is fully furnished, including all bedding and towels. The apartment is always provided clean and tidy with the bed made with clean bedding and clean towels in the cupboard. There is wireless hi-speed internet with unlimited downloading. There's also an alarm clock radio. The bed is a double. There is a small fridge, double hotplate, large toaster oven, and regular toaster, plus dishes, pans, and utensils to cook whatever. There's a closet to hang clothes and to store bags etc.The studio is a comfortable and efficient space full of charm. In the daytime it is bright, thanks to the many windows, and cozy and intimate by night.
The studio is situated in the heart of the trendy Plateau neighborhood. The Plateau is the cultural heart and soul of Montreal. Physically, the studio is located at the epicenter of the city, so to get to all points on the Island is as efficient as can be. Notably Downtown Montreal is just an easygoing 20 minute walk away. Also it's only 20 minutes to walk to the cool hipster Mile End neighborhood. There's a couple of laundromats on Duluth street, a short block away. It's ten minutes to walk to Sherbrooke or Mount Royal Metro stations. It's five minutes to get to the 55 north-south bus and 10 minutes to get to the 80 bus on Parc Avenue, that circles the central core of the city day and night.
There are lots of long established cafes, boutiques and restaurants in the neighborhood, both cheap or upscale but all very good. A little stroll and you are at the hip Parc Jeanne-Mance and at the foot the Mountain (Parc Mont Royal; scene of the amazing Sunday Tam Tam gatherings in the summer months).
Perfect for temporary visitors, contract workers, students etc. For visitors planning on cooking, there's a supermarket on Duluth Street (a short block away) and also Segals (the cheapest in Montreal!) nearby on St Laurent (a five minute walk).
Patrick's studio apartment was perfect for the two of us. It was very small, but as good as any small hotel room. We were in town for the Jazz festival, so we weren't spending much time lying around the room. We used it for the bathroom and sleeping. It is convenient to two of the great Montreal parks, so if you wanted to relax and read like we did one day it was easy to walk there and lay in the shade. The street was blocked off due to construction which was a mild annoyance for driving into the place, but there was virtually no street noise/traffic outside which was a bonus. Overall, this place can't be beat for it's price and location.
Logement pas très cher, mais très bruyant (bar en bas de l'immeuble, impossible de dormir entre 1h et 4h, frigo, ...).
Very prompt communication, fantastic location, great room. It was clean and comfortable. Also, some reviewers have remarked that the bar across the street is too noisy, but we didn't find it was an issue on the Thursday night we were there. I would, however, bring something to use as a shade for the door window, since it can get quite bright in the morning (we used a black sheet).
Pas de surprise, le studio correspond exactement à l'annonce. La situation est idéale pour les personnes se déplaçant en métro !
I had a good time and would go back again. As some reviews have pointed out, the wi-fi doesn't work too well and it can get noisy with the pub next door, but neither of these affected me too much and the location was fantastic. Patrick was extremely helpful too. For someone staying alone, like I was, it was ideal.
Everything was as described. The location is amazing and Patrick was a pleasure to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this listing to others.
appartement très bien situé (quartier très sympa) et agréable pour un court séjour à Montréal
As everyone else says, this place is the best. We had a wonderful stay and Patrick was incredibly responsive and gracious.
Montreal is a lovely city and our stay at Patrick's place was very comfortable. Unfortunately, our first two hours parked near the flat involved our car being broken into, luckily nothing was stolen but this did initially dampen our views of Montreal. Be careful where you park, the are some indoor parking garages about 1km away that can be parked in. The studio is small, but big enough for 2 people. It is nice and cosy with the heating on and the large windows provide lots of light. Although make sure you bring an eye mask if you like to sleep a bit in the morning. There are cooking facilities and utensils and towels are provided. There is wifi but the connection cuts off often. The stairs leading to the flat are steep, so be wary those with heavy suitcases. Thanks again for our stay.
