Conveniently located approximately 15 minutes from beautiful, historic Valle Crucis, 20 minutes from downtown Boone and 35 minutes from all area ski slopes, our home helps you get away from it all! On site hiking trails and close proximity to Watauga River make this location ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. The property is at the end of a steep, graveled private driveway, so we recommend AWD, but front-wheel drive should be good enough. If it snows, it will cover the driveway.

The space
While there are just 2 double beds, there is plenty of space on the sofas or floor space with sleeping bags, so a group of 5 or 6 would be welcome. You will not feel crowded in our spacious trailer.

In the words of one of our guests: "Located up in the mountains away from light pollution and city noise, it was everything I wanted it to be. This trailer was cozy, and you could see the host's hospitality in all sorts of little corners. She left us chocolate and a still-in-package first aide kit along with a nice note. It was great coming back to a clean place, that was essentially an apartment, after hiking. The bath water gets hot fast, the wifi runs fast, but there's still enough mountain atmosphere to take things slow." - Rachel
