We had a simply amazing time at Deborah's lovely place, which is even more fantastic than it appears in the photos and descriptions. The comfort, quiet, amenities, location, the helpfulness and involvement of Deborah herself at all stages of the process, everything about it was simply top drawer.
Deborah met us on arrival and went over the more than complete information and recommendations sheet that she had already provided, while also providing a complete tour of the unit. It is modern, updated, fully equipped in every respect, very very nicely decorated and fitted out, and spotlessly clean. Parking is easily available in front of the house on Government, and we also were lucky enough to have use of another dedicated space just out the back of the unit.
From here we easily walked for shopping and sightseeing to the main downtown area of Victoria up as far as Chinatown and, as a bonus, had a wonderful park one block away for more exercise-related walks when the mood struck (which it didn't often do, given how busy we were seeing and doing other things in our 3 short nights there).
It's really not too much of an exaggeration to say that our stay in Deborah's place ranks right up close to the top of the list of the things about our trip to Victoria that we liked the very best. The bedrooms are quiet, serene, and super comfortable in all ways, with more storage than you could possibly use in any sort of a short visit, and the rain shower in the fully equipped master bath is not to be missed.
Our only hope is that Deborah stays in the hostess business with AirBnB, as we are looking forward to staying there again at all future visits there.
A terrific place to stay! Deborah was very helpful and friendly, and the house was as advertised. Neighbours in the other parts of the duplex were friendly as well.
One thing to note is that there are a number of stairs to get into the house (as well as to the lower bedroom), which makes it a bit of a challenge for anyone with mobility issues, but if that's not a concern then it's wonderful - great location, newly renovated, clean, quiet, and convenient.
Lovely home, nice quiet area, very close to center of things. On several days we did not need to touch the car. We will come back to Victoria, and we hope we can stay here again!!
We had a wonderful stay in your lovely home. The home itself was beautiful, modern and clean with loads of space and everything we needed. Having the laundry was an added bonus. The location could not have been better. We easily walked to the down town harbour, Beacons Park, and Fisherman's Wharf. The restaurants and pubs in the area were fun to visit, and having the grocery store a short walk away was great. We also had great access to the biking trails which was important to us. We appreciated the information that you left us regarding Victoria and area highlights, as well as the coupons for the IMAX theatre at the museum (we went and saw Jerusalem which was amazing). We will definitely be back and hope that we have the chance to stay at your place again. Margie and Bob
We stayed here for 5 nights in July. It is a beautiful home and had plenty of room for our family with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. It is close to everything: groceries, etc. Easy walk to the harbor area or over to beacon hill. It would be tough to be in a better location. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook all meals.
Stayed for 3 nights in July with my somewhat elderly parents and, as others have said, found the location very convenient; my parents particularly enjoyed the proximity to Beacon Hill Park. The house itself was roomy and well- appointed and Deborah made sure we were able to settle in comfortably.
