Here is an opportunity to stay in a completely remodeled historic adobe in Historic La Loma Plaza. The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining around the kitchen and great room, either for large ski parties, families traveling together or retreats. This property resides in the Taos Historic District and is only a short 5 minute stroll to the main Taos Plaza.
La Loma Plaza (originally called La Plazuela de San Antonio), was established as a fortress in 1796 by 63 Spanish families on the Don Fernando de Taos land grant. It was self-contained with wells, gardens, livestock and a chapel. This entire plaza is a Registered Historical Landmark.
The newly restored adobe has inviting furnishings, boasts an open floor plan and provides a tremendous amount of natural light throughout. The house has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a Murphy Bed in the cozy study, 2 gas kiva fireplaces and has the following sleeping arrangements:
-Bedroom 1: Queen bed with luxurious down comforter and sheets plus a ensuite 2-sink bathroom with walk-in shower
-Bedroom 2: Queen bed with luxurious down comforter and sheets plus a 2-sink ensuite bathroom with shower over tub
-Study: Queen pull-down Murphy Bed with kiva gas fireplace
-Additional: Blow-up queen mattress for overflow guests
The house can sleep up to 8 people assuming they are couples as there are 4 queen-sized beds. In addition, there is ample parking at the house - enough space for 3 cars plus additional cars can park within the protected La Loma Plaza.
There is a roof deck with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. In addition, the wraparound portal embraces the inner courtyard. Finally, there is a seasonal side garden off the great room kitchen area.

I stayed here with my family over Christmas, and we had a blast. This is a very beautiful house in a convenient location, a short walk to Taos Plaza. It is recently remodeled with a truly fantastic kitchen. We felt like it was a very unique New Mexico experience! With a group of 5, the house was a nice size and very comfortable. While we didn't meet Jeff, he was very helpful and welcoming.
This is a beautiful newly restored adobe house in an historic old plaza only a few minutes walk from the main tourist plaza of Taos and yet completely private and quiet. It is perfect for two couples, as the two main bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house and each has a private bath. The beds are very comfortable. Owner Jeff has put a lot of thought and money into the renovation, and he has done a great job. There is a kiva fireplace and flat screen TV in the living area, and the kitchen would make any chef happy. Jeff was easy to work with, and he does his best to assure his guests have a good experience. Be sure to get specific driving directions to the house, as the street is not marked on most maps of Taos.
