In an atmospheric ancient town house (dating from 1895) we have an appartment consisting of a sizy room (40 m2) with private kitchen, toilet & shower. The bonus is a beautiful terrace with a forest view - in the town center! Railway station, city center & university within walking distance. Very quiet.
The unique thing about our appartment is the combination of a spacy appartment, the quiet surroundings and the situation in between city center & university. The house is quiet and stylish and you will feel at home immediately. Very suitable if you look for a self-catering place.
You have access to your own room, kitchen, shower & toilet. There is a bicylcle shed. There is a nice terrace next to the room with morning Sunshine - nice to have your breakfast there.
We also live in the house. Our living room is on the ground floor, the guest appartment is on the first floor, while we have bedroom etc. on the second floor. The house is very big, so we can meet without interfering!
The neighbourhood is mainly residential. It dates from the late 19th century and is very stylish. Center of town is within walking distance, as are most of the shops that you will want. Also close are a number of cosy little restaurants. Nijmegen being a university town, there is also some "hustle & bustle".
The Railway station is within 15 minutes walking distance. From the station there are several buses which take you close to our house in less than 5 minutes.
We like to be able to put great trust in our guests . We respect your privacy and expect you to respect ours likewise. There ar no long lists of House rules, except that animals are not welcome and smoking is strictly not allowed.
Prachtig grote kamer met lekker bed, mooie badkamer beneden en eigen keuken. Geen ontbijt. De moeite waard ook om langer te verblijven!
I had a wonderfull stay in Nijmegen thanks to the very comfortable apartment. It is furnished with taste and nothing is missing. The busy street in front of the house is no problem, since the windows block the noise and the cars die out at night. I liked the thick curtains, which blocked the light perfectly. The room is huge, the kitchen well equiped. The only possible draw back might be that for the shower one has to go one floor lower. But even for that a bathrobe is provided. For tours with the bike there were information materials and maps laying ready to use, which I appreciated very much.
Nico and Wiebe were very nice hosts, very friendly and helpfull.
Geweldige accomodatie.
I really enjoyed staying at this apartment. Nico and his partner were nice and professional. The apartment is a nice 5 minute walk from supermarkets and restaurants and about a 12-15 minute walk from the centre and train station.
The apartment itself is comfy, clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well equipped with all that you need. There's a large balcony facing the beautifully kept house garden.
I highly recommend this apartment. Thank you guys for a nice stay.
I stayed in the house two nights. the room is wide, clean and very nicely decorated with kitchen attached to the room and bathroom downstairs. The house owners were nice. The house is located close to and between the city center and the university. The area is very quiet in the evening. The only point one should be aware is that visitors are strictly not allowed. I had to ask a permission in advanced...So if you are not expecting visitors - no problem, it is a great room and recommended.
I'm a 52 year old man, I live in Nijmegen since 1979. I workmfull time in civil service. I sing in a choir on fairly high level. Together with my partner I like to make long distance cycle tours. Next winter we go to India and Nepal for a three month tour.
