My apartment is situated in central Copenhagen, just at the border to Nørrebro. Busline 5a sets out from the Airport, and runs through the Inner City, and stops just around the corner. On the road there is free parking if you are visiting in car.
The area is quite vivid with ethnic diversity. The dining, that can be found in the district lncludes Middle Eastern, Indian and Vietnamese cuisine and you can eat out for reasonable prices.
The apartment has three rooms and you will be sharing it with my boyfriend and I. You will be renting the livingroom facing the quiet street Svanevej. The room has a comfortable sofabed, suitable for two people. In the room there is also a tv., books and dvds - some in English (Lonely Planet Denmark etc.), that are free to borrow. I will provide clean sheets, towels and linen. This room will be your own room during your stay, and I will of course respect your privacy, when the door is closed. Next to your room is a dining room, which you can use, when you are having your dinner.
The apartment has a small but functional bathroom - the type of bathroom typically referred to as a "Copenhagen bathroom". It basically means, that in the "old days", none of the working-class-apartments had showers. Eventually, this changed, but many of the apartments were so small, that it was almost impossible to fit in a big, modern bathroom. However, you get used to it quickly and it is quite charming in its own way :).
The apartment has a very cosy kitchen, and you are more than welcome to keep food in the fridge, and use the kitchen appliances, cook, make coffee etc. In the garden there is a lovely shared, roofed terrace - perfect for an outdoor grill in the summer.
If there is anything special you would like to see or do in Copenhagen during your stay, I will be more than happy to give you some tips. I have two bikes, that you are welcome to borrow, during your visit.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Lisa has done a lot to make our stay at her place as comfortable as possible. She also gave great advice about what to see in the city and always made herself available for any further questions. A very kind, friendly and welcoming host indeed. Highly recommend.
I spent another 2 months in Lisa's apartment, and my opinion hasn't changed: if you're planning to spend some time in Copenhagen then this is the place to rent :)
The reservation was canceled 27 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Lisa and Brendan are amazing hosts. Even though we arrived pretty late on a weeknight, they took the time to explain everything to us, recommend places to eat and give us directions - and Brendan even fixed up the bikes for us. The apartment is really charming and clean as was the room we stayed in. The green backyard is also very nice and a great place to hang out and have a beer or BBQ in the evening though we never got around to it. The bathroom is indeed very small but you won't notice after a day or two. Apart from the many little surprises for us (beer, chocolates, Danish pastries, strawberries!), Lisa and Brendan also gave us 2 bikes to explore the city which added a lot to the experience. We loved cycling through Copenhagen which is a beautiful city with very friendly people. We also liked the neighborhood a lot. You can get great, inexpensive food, it is relatively close to the city center and there are quite a few cool places nearby. Staying in Norrebro, we managed to avoid the tourist crowds for most of our stay and felt like we got a look at the real Copenhagen. We had some really fun interesting conversations with Lisa and Brendan and wish we would have had more time at their place. Next time we're in Copenhagen we'll definitely be back. This was our first Airbnb experience and we don't think we could have had a better one. Tusind tak!
Lisa and her boyfriend were great hosts and offered us plenty of information in order to make our trip to Copenhagen unforgettable. They also were kind enough to provide us with what I believe to be the best chocolate we've ever eaten. :) Thanks for everything!
Lisa and Brendan were excellent hosts. We didn't spend much time in the apartment, but we had a lovely stay. The location was perfect for us - cool neighbourhood, not too far from the centre. The bikes they provided us with were super convenient. We'd stay with them again anytime. Thanks guys!
I am a host /guest at Airbnb. Originally I am from Sweden but I have lived most of my life in the Copenhagen area of Denmark. My education consists of a bachelor´s degree in teaching and a master´s degree in sociology.
"At rejse er at leve" (to travel is to live) - and I love it too. Amongst my favorite destinations are the Galapagos Islands, the Andes mountains and the wild west coast of Ireland.
My future travel goals are the Chinese wall and the rough volcanic landscape of Iceland. These are my must go destinations!
I am addicted to coffee, dark chocolate and newspapers. I enjoy beeing at ease, spending time singing, laughing and sensing the world around me.
