One mile south of Kailua-Kona on Alii Drive, Alii Villas is a beautiful oceanfront complex with tropical landscaping, a large freshwater pool, and a patio area perfect for barbecuing or sunbathing. Black-and-white spinner dolphins and green sea turtles are frequent visitors to the bay just north of the complex, and bright reef fish school in the little coves and beaches nearby.
A short, pretty drive south leads to the best surfing, snorkeling, and diving areas in the Hawaiian islands; a trip north through 19th century lava flows takes you to dozens of peaceful white-sand beaches lined with palm and kiawe trees. Inland—a longer drive, but well worth the trip—is Kilauea, the Big Island’s active volcano, and the weird extraterrestrial landscape of Volcanoes National Park. To see the whole beautiful island and travel easily from one great beach to another, we recommend you rent a car at the airport.

Great place and great location. Thanks for the stay.
Really nice condo, very well furbished, you can even borrow some snorkeling gears or bodyboards. It is perfectly located, just 5 minutes drive from Kona's shops and restaurants.
The condo was clean and pleasant. The only issue was wifi - when we rented the condo it was advertised as including wifi, and when we arrived they had discontinued the service without notifying us. The host was not very accommodating, but the property manager was kind enough to give us access to the wifi system used to control the solar panels. I see that they now do not list wifi as an amenity. Overall, it was a good experience.
A nice condo, plenty of space, overlooks a nice garden. It took us 30-40 minutes to walk to the brewery (at a slow pace) and was convenient to get to town.
The place was perfect for us. The location was great. Really nice place to spend vacation and rest. The only thing was that the internet was really really bad. I would not advertise internet when it works less than half the time. Other than that everything else was great. The pool was quite and nice. The neighbors were quite.
Great place, clean, good location for walking into Kailua.
We wanted three days in Kona before heading for Volcano and east side of the islans. We enjoyed very much staying in this apartment, we could borrow the boogie board tablets, enjoy the sunset from benches of the condominium, and prepare real meals with local products. We particularly enjoyed breakfast in the terrace with birds singing. Pictures don't show how wonderful are the gardens around.
This place was perfect! We had everything we needed to make it like home, plus beach gear to borrow. It is only a ten minute or less walk to Kona's shops and restaurants (don't let (website hidden) maps fool you). Thanks Barbara!
