Interaction with Guests
Once I have greeted you and shown you the ropes, I pretty much let you take your lead. So you can expect quiet time if you need it. I work, volunteer so am pretty busy. I am always available by phone, should you have a need or concern. I live on the premises also.
Located within walking distance of The Narrows Bridge, with beautiful views, (unfortunately I'm located in the "valley"), but can be seen with just a short walk down the road. My house in on a corner lot, with a huge hemlock tree at the very corner of my property behind a wood fence.
Entrance to The Secret Garden : Make a very sharp turn onto Harmon Street and North Narrows Drive. The first driveway on your right is where you park, or on the side of the street. The entrance is located here on this level from the driveway.
For those that are directionally challenged like I am, please print out the map and directions! :)
Bus transportation from the bus stop across the street on the corner from the house. Access to Highway 16 to I-5, bus, taxi, rental cars.

Patty was a wonderful host and very accommodating to my needs. She went out of her way to make me feel at home. I would definitely return!
This was my first Airbnb experience. I was blown away with Patty's and Jerry's hospitality. They were very friendly and helpful and took a personal interest in my comfort and well-being. I was born in Tacoma and attended school through college there. This was a "nostalgia trip" seeing old friends and classmates and it was a wonderful experience thanks to Patty and Jerry. How many hotels give you a hug when you leave! I will be back to stay with my new friends in the future.
We loved our stay! Last minute we decided to take a weekend away together before our baby was born. The Secret Garden was perfect for us. It was clean, comfortable, relaxing, and accommodating. Patty and Jerry are so friendly and kind!
Patty was super accommodating and kind; you can tell she loves to host people! The breakfast in the morning was amazing and she even packed us some biscuits for the road. Her house is not downtown but the neighborhood seems very safe and quiet. She provided everything we needed and more. Thanks again!!
Patty made us feel welcome and very at-home from the minute we arrived. She has forgotten nothing in terms of what one might enjoy or need during their stay. The bedrooms, living room, kitchen and dining area are tastefully appointed and encourage lounging and relaxing. The bathroom is loaded with things that you might have forgotten to pack--disposable razors, etc. The location was perfect for me--near waterside dining and only 3 miles from the University of Puget Sound. The home is quiet and in a safe and quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend this BnB!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Patty is a gracious host, and made us feel very welcome. She made beautiful breakfasts. One morning it was scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast, (and don't forget the hand made blueberry scones). The second morning it was Belgian waffles and eggs.
Patty and her husband are wonderful, generous, down to earth people who made me feel as though I was stepping in to my own home. They offered dinner to my friends and gave me no restrictions on coming and going. I felt very safe with them.
