Welcome to Mejeriet - a dairy house built in the 1800s, and converted into a cozy home in the 1900s. Experience modern comfort such as central heating and a well equipped kitchen, while enjoying timeless charm such as old fashioned windows, many layers of paint, retro wallpaper and lots of doors.
Mejeriet stands by "the blooming mountain" Kinnekulle, offering easy access to hiking paths, art and culture, unique culinary experiences and ancient viking history.
The space
Mejeriet is a two storey building that sits right across our home. Tucked in the middle of nature, the house sits at the heart of the farm, so you will see us gardening and doing chores, as well as friends and neighbours tending to the horses.
The building has two floors, with a kitchen, dining area and several relaxing and working spaces on the ground floor, and two bedrooms and a full bathroom on the upper floor. The property fits 4 people comfortably, but upon your request, we can arrange extra beds. We provide cotton linen and towels.
You have access to a small, private garden equipped with outdoor furniture and a grill. Parking space is available close to the entrance, with easy access to a 16A wall outlet for charging electric cars (extra electricity has additional fees). You may use our washing machine and tumble dryer in the basement and we provide homemade laundry detergent, but please be mindful that the basement is a shared space where you may find us making honey, applemust or cider.
A short walk away you can find our sauna and outdoor bath, which you are welcome to use. Firewood, matches and sauna necessities are provided. The sauna and outdoor bath are shared spaces.
Fun fact: we call our farm Fairyland and you can visit it from afar! The cozy indie game The Merry Fairy is a portal to our home, where you are invited to create your scrapbook journal and discover your inner magic.

A day or two before arrival, we will provide you with instructions and a direct map link. We will greet you when you arrive, show you the parking space, and give you a brief tour of Mejeriet.
Accessibility & Comfort
Mejeriet has two entrances, both featuring a short set of stairs, and the bedrooms are located on the upper floor, which is accessed via stairs. All stairs have handrails and lighting. The full bathroom is equipped with a bathtub. You can control the temperature via the thermostat in the living room, and you may also light the fireplace.

Both entrances to Mejeriet have keys and can be locked.
Fireplace
There is a fireplace in the house, that you are welcome to use. We provide firewood. We ask that you clean the stove after use: put the ash in the ash bucket, and dust away after use.

Animals & Pets
Our farm is home to many horses and wild animals such as hares, deer, badgers or foxes, which is why we do not allow pets. You can, however, bring your horse and ride around! You may rent access to a paddock and outdoor stall, and we can make arrangements for you with the people who take care of the big stables.

Charging your electric car carries extra fees, which we are happy to communicate before your arrival.
