Our fabulous converted Barn is on a small working farm is just 36kms from Dublin city, 40 minutes from Dublin airport and only 5 minutes from the M4 motorway. We are easily accessible, yet our location is quiet and secluded.

Interaction with Guests
We are always in and around the Barn as it is a part of our working Farm, so please feel free to ask us anything you wish, were not easily offended!!
We are so close to Dublin yet in the heart of the Countryside, only 35 mins from the city centre.
We are surrounded by Historic sites, infact we are only 200yds from the fabled "Pale" a medieval earth embankment put up around Dublin to stop the locals from cattle rustling!!
We are 3 miles from the nearest public transport so a car or a taxi is needed.
Other Things to Note
There is so much to go and see near us, from outlet shopping, to a Norman castle at Trim, which played the part of the city of York in England,in Mel Gibsons film Braveheart, a lot of which was shot in Co.Kildare.
Fans of Horse Racing have 4 race courses to choose from all within 45 mins of us.
This is Self Catering, Breakfasts are not available, no pets in the Barn, not even ours!!
While we enjoy a good Party the Barn is not available for Weddings and Christenings, unless discussed with us first. And due to hard experience--sorry, BUT NO, Stags, or Hens parties.
I sound Like a real grump!!
Finally Smoking only on the Patio in the Garden, your on a farm and there is Hay around.
I booked Tony's place for my son and his new wife, on their honeymoon in Ireland. They were staying in a friend's cottage and needed to leave a day earlier than they expected. Tony was fabulous in approving the booking quickly. He also communicated very efficiently and was terrific about their late arrival. He also messaged me when they arrived that they were safe and sound.
They called to tell me that the place was amazing, the food was to die for, and Tony was a 'delightful man with a great sense of humor, and a phenomenal cook'. They highly recommended we stop there on our next visit to Ireland and they plan to return as well.
Though my experience is not first hand, the recommendation of my son and daughter-in-law is glowing. This is apparently a jewel just outside Dublin. They went to the airport next morning - great location and wonderful stay! Thank you, Tony!
We stayed only one night and we can simply confirm all the best of this place. Tony has been very kind and the place he and his wife have realized is simply amazing, as well as the countryside. The breakfast was simply astonishing. Definitely a place to come back.
Not sure where to begin....I organized a small conference at Tony's. We had the place to ourselves, Tony went out of his way to make us feel welcome and just for the record- his cooking is superb!
Everyone in our group was delighted with the rooms and facility, the location, just outside Dublin in the Irish countryside is stunningly beautiful and we all wished we could have extended our stay. Although not having a sepaprte conference room, Tony allowed us to engage for a full day in the living room area and allowed us to stay speaking long after meals at the table. Breakfast is beautiful to behold and Tony has wonderful stories to tell....also, anyone who is an avid gardeners will love to spend some time speaking to him about his own garden that supplies much of your food while there. A wealth of information. It was a fabulous time and we all miss the Barn and the warmth of Tony, our wonderful host.
The best B&B in Ireland!!! I felt like a queen in Tony's and Louise's barn! Never had such tasteful breakfast! It keeps you going for the rest of the day! Can't wait to try Tony's diner. Everything fresh from the garden! Loved the atmosphere and Tony's great stories. Definitely will be back!
I like this place very much. The area is in the countryside with sheep, horses and chickens. Tony is a great host and his breakfast is very tasty. The rooms are comfortable with an individual character and very clean. Tony knows a lot about the area and has some good recommendations. I felt very welcomed and enjoyed the stay. Would go again any time.
Our group of eight had a wonderful time at the barn. The location is beautiful, and the barn itself is very spacious and clean. Tony was a wonderful host - full of great recommendations for local sights and eats. He was also very helpful and considerate - making sure that everyone made it home from Dublin each night, checking whether or not we'd be having meals the next day, and even driving one of us to the airport when we got stranded without a ride.
FOOD: The food was amazing. My favorite part about our stay may be the delicious breakfasts we were served each morning. Homemade everything straight from the farm! Be sure to confirm meal details with Tony prior to your stay. Dinners were not included in the price for us, but breakfasts were. There was also a per-bottle corkage fee for wine. It may vary by group size and length of stay.
LOCATION: About 30-40 minutes from Dublin by car. Road signs in Ireland are a little harder to find than in the US, so having access to GPS saved us many times. I'd recommend having access to GPS or very detailed paper directions for each car in your party, as the location is remote.
ATMOSPHERE: The farm itself is gorgeous. The area is lovely, the animals are beautiful, and everything is super green. The barn is very charming -- easy to relax by the fire with a good book. Tony is super friendly and loves chatting with guests about history and the various photographs around the barn. I really enjoyed our talks. That said, if you're looking for a completely hands-off host (like a hotel) that gives you the keys and is not to be seen again, this is not your place. Tony loves interacting with his guests and will be a frequent but very pleasant presence.
AMENITIES: We had water and glasses in every room, as well as fresh towels every morning. The place does have a kitchen for cooking, but Tony said that guests were not allowed to use it due to insurance reasons. If you need to keep things cold, you'll need to pass them to Tony while he is there preparing meals, as the fridge is in the kitchen (which is kept locked).
If you get the chance, be sure to go take a look at the horses!
This is a great place, especially if you like great food, beautiful scenery, cute animals, and animated conversation. Tony is a lot of fun and a wealth of knowledge about, well, many things! My group particularly liked all the local (read: from the farm) elements of the food.
And, to be sure, it is a very clean and well-thought-out space. A great balance of rustic charm and modern convenience, each appearing right where it counted.
If that sounds good to you and you are looking for a place that isn't so very far from Dublin, but feels rather deep into the countryside (in a good way), then this comes highly recommended.
