About this listing
Looking for a cheap bed for the night in Sheffield?
My son has graciously agreed to let me rent out his room while he's away at university!
It comes with a 2-metre bed, so it's especially suitable for tall visitors, but anyone is welcome.
My house is on a quiet cul-de-sac, just off the A621, 2 miles south of Sheffield railway station and on 5 major bus routes from the city centre; busses run at least every 10 minutes during the day and early evening. It's also just 6 miles from the stunningly beautiful Peak District National Park.
It's clean and friendly if a bit scruffy!
All visitors are equal but cyclists are more equal than others!
Bed linen and towels provided. Shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Free Virgin Media cable tv and wi-fi plus massive DVD collection!
Smoking area in back yard.
There's a variety of local ethnic shops and eateries plus a Morrison's Local supermarket and a recently renovated Victorian pub called The Broadfield, all within a few hundred yards.
Anything else you want to know? Just ask!

I'm a freelance English teacher, voice coach and minister, cyclist and caver, actor, singer and writer. I have 2 sons (26 and 21), one in the US and one itinerant! I'm into peace and social justice, so I've always worked for charities and community groups. I'm a big fan of theatre, film, radio and television drama but not interested in spectator sports, soaps, "talent" shows or "reality" tv.
