I stayed at Alma's B&B with 2 friends of mine for 3 nights, and it was delightful! Unfortunately I wasn't able to meet Alma but she was very responsive in her communications and her wonderful mother Eleonora looked after us extremely well.
We stayed in the downstairs room which was perfectly sized for the 3 of us. The breakfasts were delicious, the wifi worked well, the shower was nice and hot and the kitchenette was well stocked. It was the perfect stay!
Vittorio Veneto is a gorgeous town that has to be seen, and is perfectly located close to the Dolomites and the Prosecco region.
Grazie mille Alma e Eleonora!
Ambiance is my top priority, and an artist's 600-year-old palazzo that she has lovingly restored, situated in a medieval village on the edge of Prosecco country is perfect to me. This is a real, special B&B, not someone's bedroom with clean sheets. My husband and I loved the privacy of our Angel Suite room at the top of the building, though I saw the other two rooms which were bright (Garden room) and cozy (Sunset room). Bedding and towels were superior, though if you are two meters tall, expect to bump your head sometimes :) Alma and her co-hosts were generous and friendly, and we enjoyed breakfasts with homemade jams every morning and chatting with them as we came and went. They even invited us on two separate occasions with them to the countryside during our week's stay.
My wife and I spent a wonderful and relaxing 3 nights in Alma and Elonora's beautiful 18th century castle overlooking an enchanting 3-tiered garden that climbs up into the Dolomites. Alma is an art conservator and has beautifully restored and renovated the house so that it is so warm and romantic. Elonora (Alma's mother) was incredibly warm and welcoming. She made it very difficult to leave due to her hospitality and fantastic breakfasts. Additionally, we dined several times at the local osteria which was our finest dining experience in Italy. We will definitely be returning here.
