Truly unwind at the edge of the forest! Lodge Lizzy sits just 50 steps from the trees and blends the comfort of a solid stone cottage (including a full kitchen and high ceilings!) with the freedom of having a vast woodland right outside your door. Inspired by my Indonesian grandmother Lizzy, who turned cooking together and being together into an art form.

The space
🍽️ Kitchen
At Lizzy the kitchen is the heart of the house. It’s a fully equipped space with a cooking island set beneath a large skylight that fills the room with natural light. The generous island offers plenty of workspace, and the kitchen includes a four‑burner electric cooktop, dishwasher, spacious oven, and a fridge with freezer compartment. And one of our personal favorites: a PFAS-free SafeCourt milk frother. It creates beautifully thick foam, whether you prefer it piping hot or refreshingly cold, making every (iced) coffee an even more enjoyable and indulgent moment. ☕
Inspired by our Indonesian family culture, we bring a sense of hospitality with us: good coffee and tea are ready for you, and you won’t need to bring your own dishwasher tablets, peper, salt, oliveoil or kitchen linens.
🛋️ Living Room
The dining table sits right next to the cooking island. In the living room, you’ll find two soft throws for cooler summer evenings. Feel free to take them outside and get cozy.
There’s a smart TV where you can log in to your own Netflix account. Hidden away in the cabinet beneath the TV, you’ll also find books, games, and activities for children, perfect if you're staying with the family.
🛏️ Bedrooms
Your holiday begins the moment you arrive: the beds are freshly made. The first bedroom has a double bed with two separate duvets. The second bedroom has a bunk bed. Traveling with a baby or young child? A travel cot will be waiting for you in the main bedroom. This makes the house suitable for up to 4 guests, plus a baby or toddler.
🚿 Bathroom
The recently renovated bathroom features a spacious shower, sink, and electric towel radiator. A hairdryer is provided and each guest will find two luxury towels laid out in the bedrooms.
🚽 Toilet
For everyone’s privacy, the toilet is located separately from the bathroom.
🫧 Laundry room
In a separate space, you’ll find our washing machine. Perfect if you’re staying a bit longer. Laundry detergent and a drying rack are provided. There is also an iron and a small ironing board available.
🌳 Garden
No matter what time of day you step into the garden, you’ll be greeted by birdsong. The garden is fully enclosed and secured with a garden gate. In the small shed, you’ll find cushions for the outdoor furniture, as well as the fabric for the large hammock.
🚗 Arrival & Parking
As you approach Lizzy, you’ll feel it, you leave the busy roads behind and head deeper into the forest. When the forest path ends and you can’t drive any further, you’ll find the entrance to the house on your left. Parking is available right in front of the barrier, just 25 meters from the house.
🌲 Surroundings
From the house, you can walk into the expansive Putten forest in under a minute. On the other side lies the Krachtighuizerheide heathland. The center of Putten is a 30 minute forest walk away. For a wellness day, Sauna Drome Putten is just a 10 minute drive and a good swim (with the kids) is only ten minutes away at the inside and outside pool ‘bosbad Putten’. Big city’s like Utrecht (40 min drive) and Amsterdam (50 min drive) are also worth a visit. We can help if you have questions or need more tips!
👶 Young Children & Babies
If you’re traveling with a baby or young child, a travel cot will be ready for you in the main bedroom. A high chair is also available. And of course, your little one can play safely in the fully enclosed garden.
Other things to note
Lodge Lizzy is a place to slow down and enjoy the calm of nature. It’s best suited for guests who love a peaceful atmosphere and treat the space and surroundings with care.
Set deep in the greenery, you’ll hear birds, wind in the trees and quiet; not crowds or parties. We hope guests enjoy Lodge Lizzy as if it were their own little retreat 🌿
