This is a perfect apartment to share. It's two bedrooms are spaced far apart (just in case somebody snores;) It has tall ceilings which makes it feel much bigger (it's 900 sq ft.)
The two bedrooms have a Queen Size bed in each room. Second bedroom has a separate entrance for extra privacy. There is a 42" flat screen and Apple TV with Netflix for relaxing and watching movies. Kitchen is fully equipped for making meals.
My neighborhood is definitely an up and coming area. So, it's little rough around the edges but, I have always felt safe.
And there is lots of great food, some bars, discount shopping, large grocery store (a block away), and Laundry (around the corner). It's super central on the border of Bushwick and Bed-Stuy. You can easily bike into Clinton Hill, and Williamsburg. 15 minute train ride on the JMZ line and you are in Manhattan!
-JMZ subway line (2 blocks away- Manhattan in 15 mins)
-G subway line (6 blocks away)
-Busses B15 (1 block), B54, B46, B47 (2-3 blocks away)
-Parking is pretty easy in my area (although you will have to move for street cleaning).
Great home base for exploring Brooklyn and Manhattan!

2) I live here so please, respect my belongings as you would your own.
3) Please let me know if you have pets. I love four legged creatures and do allow but, would prefer you tell me about them. Pets over 20 lbs. require a $150 deposit.

5) Laugh, drink, be merry:)
Oh and have fun!
Rain was a fantastic host! A few friends and I stayed at her place for a month and had a wonderful experience. It is located a few min walk from a subway M/J/Z stop, a grocery store, laundry mat, etc. She even had breakfast and coffee waiting for us in the fridge, and fresh flowers on the table. A great place!
I stayed for a month at Rain's place and really enjoyed it. I loved how she has it decorated - tons of character! I felt very at home here. It helped that Rain had some food essentials waiting in the fridge and even some little Philosophy brand soaps and shampoos set out. Apple TV and fast wifi were also great!
Rain is super easy to communicate with, responding to messages right away and she also texted me to check in a couple times over the course of the month.
This is not a glamorous neighborhood (I called it "edgy") but it's really conveniently located next to the J/M/Z subway and laundromat, multiple groceries, etc. And I never felt unsafe walking around the area by myself.
Rain was an excellent host. The apartment is spacious, it was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels were comfortable and clean. There is plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Rain packed up a lot of her belongings and stored them in two of the closets, leaving a closet for us. I liked that, I did not have to worry about Rain's possessions and it left space for us to have our own items.
The apartment is on the border of Bedford Stuyvesant and Bushwick. I felt safe in the neighborhood and the building. I used the J, M subway line which is 2 blocks away. When in the neighborhood we walked in Bushwick. Bushwick has a large Mexican population and the food was wonderful. There are plenty of places to eat and drink.
I would recommend staying at Rain's apartment.
This was my first stay, and experience with AirBnB and I was traveling with my son and my small Cairn terrier dog.
Rain was very easy to talk to and was there waiting for me, to give me the keys, show me around her lovely apartment, and tell me a little about the neighborhood.
There is this great little corner store, Mr. Kiwi's, they have great fresh made-to-order vegetable juice, and I bought most of my food there. They have some organic choices and water too. I had dinner at the Chinese restaurant right across the street from the laundry mat on Myrtle, they have great and cheap chow mei fun. I had Breakfast at Terry's (cuban food), and Athom (french omelets to die for), both down on Broadway. Lots of good food choices.
It was very easy to hop on the train and go into Manhattan, and Union Square. At night I got to watch Netflixs (addicted to season 5 of Fringe!!) and sleep in a very comfortable bed.
Yes the neighborhood is a bit rough, and noisy for this country girl, but everyone was nice. In fact, durring my stay in Brooklyn I felt that it is a very welcoming and safe place.
The apartment was very clean and has a very nice feeling about it. The kitchen reminded me of the 40's. And I think she is updating the decore because it looked even better than the pictures. I basically could forget that my son was there because the bedrooms are at either end of the apartment (it might have been that he was able to forget that he had to travel with his mom.. the horrors of being 16). This apartment is perfect for traveling with a friend. The toilet paper roller was annoying because it isn't attached correctly. Rain said she would work on this. Checking out was very easy.
I really hope that this apartment is available when I come back to brooklyn.
I would say that I am a very conscientious person. But, I also love travel and adventures. I am interested in all forms of art like music (especially music as I am a songwriter),painting/sculpture, cooking, movies, theater etc. I tend to loke new ideas but, I also wish I had a time machine because, there are so many ideas and eras from the past that are so fascinating to me.
