Morgan's tree house is amazing! It is beautifully decorated and set in beautiful gardens by a river. We loved the feeling of being outdoors and at one with nature. Morgan was a fantastic host. A very down to earth and relaxed lady who works very hard!! She provided us with a scooter, phone and map. She was extremely helpful in providing us with places to go and sorting out a transfer to the airport. She has 3 gorgeous dogs and son, who were a treat to spend time with. We would love to return.
This property and the garden around it are beautiful and unique. But if you take a closer look, there are too many things malfunctioning that bothered us. The biggest problem are the doors and windows in the bedroom that are impossible to close, which makes it very hard to sleep at night due to the constant noise of bugs and birds outside. And then the dogs. We absolutely love dogs but the fact that they come and go in the tree house whenever they want is a bit disturbing. They lie on the sofas all the time, and that causes a typical 'doggy smell'. We never used the sofas for that reason. Also, the garden is very dark in the evening. A lack of guiding lights make it very hard to find your way if you come home after seven pm. The lights in the pool are dimmed too, so no swimming after dark (for us that meant: no swimming at all as we were away during the days). After one sleepless night, we really considered checking out early and booking a hotel instead, but we decided to give it another chance. Not sure yet if it was worth it... But if you don't mind open windows, mosquitoes and noises in the night, and you adore dogs, go for it!
The treehouse and property are really gorgeous, but there were a number of things that made my experience disappointing: firstly, it is very remote and far from just about everything so unless you're prepared to take your chances on a scooter or spend a fortune on taxi's, you're going to be stuck. That being said, if privacy and seclusion is what you're looking for, this is perfect. Just know that the beach is about 15 minutes drive from the villa.
Next, the host wasn't there for my entire stay and said her cousin would be there if I needed anything, but both of them showed little or no interest in their guests, and there was no one around to ask questions of or to organise cabs with etc. There wasn't even anyone there to check me out of the villa; I just left the same way I arrived: invisible
Thirdly, the whole treehouse was dusty, full of cobwebs and dead bugs. When I sent her an email to complain, I was told "This isn't a luxury hotel"... I wasn't aware that having a clean room was a luxury. The so - called "kitchen" was a hotplate with one pan, a couple of dirty plates and some mismatched cutlery and the sliding doors and a few of the windows upstairs were broken and wouldn't close properly so the air conditioning couldn't be effective.
It's a shame, because the place really is lovely, just some more attention and care given by the host and this could have been a totally different experience.
It is a quiet and very nice place, very relax. And we both love these three cute gods. Morgan is nice and gave us good suggestion in somewhere we can go and eat.We had a very good experience.
Had a wonderful stay in the tree house the swimming pool is awesome and they have three very lovely dogs, location is a bit far and difficult to find the way back as there are so many small alleys that all look the same， takes 25-30 by motorcycle to the center.
We really enjoyed our time in the treehouse, it's such a beautiful place and Morgan was a lovely host. A major bonus was Morgan's three adorable dogs, who took turns to guard our room at night! The place is not ideal if you are afraid of insects/ lizards as the toilet and shower area had a lot of them especially at night and first thing in the morning! But if you want to spend some quality time outside of the more touristy areas of Bali then definitely stay in the treehouse! We loved it and would definitely stay again!
The tree house is everything you think it would be. It's stunning, in a beautiful part of Bali with an incredible property. The tree house is one of I think two or perhaps three properties to rent at this particular villa but they all have a decent amount of privacy. The owner can arrange pick up and you should make sure you don't miss it as it can be pretty difficult/impossible to find the place by taxi.
Morgan is a gracious host who does what she can to make your stay the best possible. You feel a part of the family when you are there.
Only negative note is that if you are a light sleeper than things may be a bit difficult. I am not and slept soundly but my wife is and woke to toads, geckos and morning work in the local village. All quite romantic sounds really but enough to wake someone up. Bring enough earplugs or Bintang. Also, no swimming after dark.
We spend a few days in Morgan's "little" tree house. The decoration and the garden are really beautiful. Morgan welcomed us with a map of the area (very useful as you'll see !) and a lot of good advices and locations to stay !
We will absolutely come back if we have the chance !!
Morgan's treehouse is stunning. We arrived at around 10:30 pm (Morgan arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport) on a moonlight night and the entire place was just breathtaking. Our stay was short (just for one night) but truly very memorable. We were so charmed by the treehouse that we weren't able to sleep till dawn, just taking in the good vibes while resting inside the comfort of the lovely canopy bed, wishing ourselves to be able to live in such a house ourselves someday. Daybreak was an equally stunning sight, by the way - the sunshine peaking into the bedroom, warming you up to a beautiful sunny day in Bali. The bathroom was cool, we especially loved the decors. Sadly, we weren't able to make use of the lounge, I reckon it would be great to spend rainy afternoons there. I would definitely like to stay again when I head over to Bali.
