Our journey in SF was amazing !
And the appartment perfect ! Perfectly clean and convenient, its location was great ! We really enjoyed the atmosphere of north beach, its caffe, its restaurant, the tai-shit in Washington sq., ...
Would like to go there again ! :)
So we stayed here for our Spring Break trip. We are a four person family. The neighborhood was super laid back and walkable to Fisherman's Wharf and a lot of cozy Italian restaurants. It's also walking distance to Chinatown. It's always cooler than you expect (weather wise) in San Fran. So bring a warm sweatshirt. We had a little trouble getting into the apt- the info. To get in the door was confusing, since there are 3 different security code systems, and you only need one of them. Once we got in, the place was great. We walked to Trader Joes to get a few things and the rest is history. We walked extensively, forcing my teenagers to get some exercise on the hills of San Francisco. The apt. is in a beautiful area, for sure!
Great location and plenty of room with fresh clean sheets and towels provided. Secure apartment and quiet.
What a location!! We chose to stay at Maile's apartment mostly because it is such an iconic style property and it had full kitchen. We were so blown away, having known nothing about San Fran, only to realise it is right in the hub of everything!!
Really easy access to all the major tourist destinations, the wharfs, cable cars and restaurants with views of Lombard street from the corner of the nearby intersection. We caught the BART to different areas and walked, rode and ran all over the city.
If you come from the airport via BART, ignore the GPS walking instructions through the steep city hills and simply walk along the wharfs, towards pier 39, which is at the end of the street, and only a few blocks up a very minor slope to the property. We went the GPS way..
The home is exactly as you see in the photos, gets a nice breeze if you need it, and has a fully equipped kitchen for you.
Our hosts were simply lovely, and the Pillow team are incredible!! We would absolutely stay again! Being here allows you to feel like a local, in a secure, extremely clean and lovely apartment.
Highly recommend dinner at the Hog Island Oyster co one night, and the bikes of Bay City bicycles (over the poorly maintained bikes at Blazing Saddles, found on Powell st). America's first Bikram studio is located around the corner on Columbus, we loved the class we attended!
There is a guest book with local area suggestions and a detailed guide on the home and area put together by Maile for you.
You will love this property, and getting to experience it all San Fran has to offer like a local!
