Welcome to A River Landing — a secluded riverfront cabin hidden on 10 private acres in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, where mornings begin with mountain fog rolling across the Blue Ridge and evenings end around a riverside fire under some of the darkest skies in Virginia.
This isn’t one of those “kind of private” cabins where you can still hear your neighbor’s Bluetooth speaker.
This is the real thing.
Tucked deep inside a 2,000-acre wildlife corridor, this newly renovated retreat gives you direct private access to a deep-water stretch of the Shenandoah River known for incredible smallmouth bass fishing, kayaking, tubing, swimming, and peaceful riverfront afternoons that somehow turn into “let’s stay one more night.”
And yes — your dogs are going to lose their minds here. 🐾

The property is unfenced, and guests should keep pets within the flagged 10-acre area for safety due to surrounding leased hunting land.

To get here, you’ll travel about 7.5 miles of scenic gravel road through rolling countryside, mountain views, and farmland before arriving at your private retreat.
And honestly?
That drive is when people usually start realizing they made the right booking.

📍 ~45 minutes to Shenandoah National Park & Skyline Drive
📍 Near hiking, canoeing, wineries, rafting & George Washington National Forest

✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $2500 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $59 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.
