If you’re looking for beautiful unspoilt French countryside , tranquility, wildlife , wildflowers, birdsong, amazing starry nights and so much more then the spacious 18th century stone cottage at Rigal , a 100 acre organic farm , is for you. Rural yet 20mins from Bergerac airport & 10mins from all amenities (Lalinde, train to Bordeaux) . You’ll love the comfy beds, amazing views, restaurants, golf, farm animals, hens , ducks , goats , guinea pigs, play areas, there’s something for everyone.

The space
The Farmhouse has 3 spacious en-suite bedrooms ( 2 kings, 1 Twin) one of the bedrooms is on the ground floor with ground floor bathroom with bath and shower. Large swimming pool with veranda ( pool open from May to September) Located on our own 100 acre organic farm. Super child/baby friendly, cots, highchairs, toys indoors and outside. Great play areas for children in safe and peaceful surroundings.Table tennis, trampoline, table football, local bike hire,woodland walks from front door, ponies,chickens, guineapigs,ducks. Extensive birdlife, wildlife & wildflowers. Wifi, dvd player, sky TV, fully equipped kitchen.

The spacious farmhouse is completely private and yours for your stay. With a terrace at the front and back with ample outside dining tables and seating . BBQ , swimming pool ( May-September). The grounds are tranquil and extensive.

The swimming pool is open from May to September.
There is an additional cost if you require the central heating in the Farmhouse.
We ask for a refundable security deposit .

Neighborhood highlights

This area is so pristine that lichen grows on every tree and the woodland walks are fabulous. In late April/May there is an abundance of wild flowers, especially orchids and butterflies in profusion. The villages are built with honey coloured stone and roofs that slope at ridiculous angles making even the shortest walk or drive a feast for the eyes architecturally speaking. The farm is set in its own 100 organic acres, tranquil and peaceful but close to all facilities.

Hello , I have spent over 10 years welcoming guests to my farm here in the Dordogne. I have all 5star tripadvisor reviews. I am passionate and enthusiastic about this area of France and a keen walker with my collie dog Luna.I am a serious chocoholic and trained and worked as a pharmacist in the UK before having children and moving with my husband and our two girls to our 100 acre organic farm here in rural France where among other things we have cattle, keep free range chickens and a flock of runner ducks. I adore the series of 'Bruno' books by Martin Walker which describe perfectly rural life in this part of France and of course have eaten at some of his favourite restaurants here. I have traveled around the world but in my opinion this area is by far the best place to live, beautiful architecture, mouth-watering markets and food, wonderful seasons and so close to an airport and Bordeaux if I feel the need to have a city-fix, as you can tell, I'm in love with the place.
