As a first experience of using Airbnb this will be hard to beat! As a family of four we know East Cork pretty well and wanted somewhere comfortable and a bit different to relax, enjoy real fires and spend some time away from home over the New Year period. Keneth's a real gentleman and has really delivered - great welcome, very comfortable surroundings with everything you could need. We'll be back!
Keneth was an excellent host, he made sure we had everything we needed for a our stay, he even left us some wine and snacks. The barn is awesome! We spent Christmas there and it was like a home away from home, it's so cozy and comfortable. It is stocked with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended! Thank you for a lovely stay Keneth.
This was by far the best AirBnb I have ever stayed in. Not only did the cottage look like it was out of a interior decorating magazine, but the host went out of his way to make us feel at home and ensure we had everything we could possibly need. The setting is gorgeous, rural, unspoiled with two donkeys and chickens on site. The home is cozy and comforatble, you will want for nothing. Upon arrival the fridge was full of local goodies, breakfast foods, coffee, tea and more than enough for breakfast for a few days. We enjoyed cooking and taking long walks on the coast (right outside the door)as well as exploring local villages. We'll 100% be back as soon as possible.
Everything is totally lovely, cosy and friendly. We will be back as soon as possible.
The barn was absolutely beautiful; sumptuous, well stocked with goodies - including a delicious welcome basket with goats cheese, sparkling apple juice, DELicious bread, and that incredible fire! It was difficult to decide if we should go outside and walk along the picture perfect Irish coast or stay inside the beautiful house. Thank you! Thank you! Wish we were there for longer and will certainly return.
This place is just fantastic. Very remote and a perfect place to get some peace and quiet. The house is finished to a very high standard. Warm and comfortable. All the facilities you could need. Keneth was a great host. Left a lovely welcome basket and was available for anything we needed.
We have just returned from a lovely weekend in Ballyshane. Kenneth was a great host and although he was not around the day we arrived, made a point of coming over the next day with fresh eggs to check everything was ok! The Barn is amazing and you feel at home the moment you walk in - cosy evenings in front of the fire were the perfect end to busy days exploring the local area. We visited the barn with our 14 month old daughter and the whole place was very child friendly and she loved going to say good morning to the donkeys each day who were just outside the front door. We were very sad to leave and hope to return in the no to distant future.
