Wonderfully renovated barn in truly beautiful spot in scenic East Cork. Stayed for four nights with our two young girls (6&8) and found this place to be a real 'break'. Kenneth is a warm and considerate host and needs to be congratulated for what he has created here - a modern oasis. Couldn't recommend highly enough :-)

We had such a lovely time at this property. It has beautiful views and walking distance to the beach. Quiet and quaint and relatively close to everything we had planned for the few days we stayed. Kenneth was super helpful and made suggestions of restaurants and local places to visit. Can't wait to come back!

Kenneth's place is the perfect & unique hideaway if you like an authentic Irish breathtaking country surrounding right by the ocean - far away from the hustle & bustle! The barn is furnished very stylish & in a grand personal way with all the comfort you need! If you are into to that kind of stay, you can't get any better in Ireland, I suppose. Further it's only a 15min drive to Middleton (Jameson) and 23km to Cork. It was the perfect location on my "inspiration tour". Thank you Kenneth for everything!

My husband and I spent two nights at the Barn. Everything is as depicted, if not better! Great host, comfy bed and furnishings with a well equipped kitchen plus fresh eggs from the hens. It is an ideal location for complete relaxation but also as a base to explore Cork city, county and beyond. We'll definitely be returning!

My wife and I had a wonderful winter weekend in Ballyshane. The house is exceptional and Kenneth was brilliant to deal with. The house is lovely and cosy in the winter with the fire blazing and we'd love to come back and stay when the weather improves. We got to explore the coastline around the area which is ideal. A cosy pint in the Guileen Arms is a must. Overall ballyshane is simply the perfect getaway. Just book!

Wonderful, bucolic spot on the coast, toasty warm even in February thanks to the lovely wood stove. All the modern conveniences and more. Attentive and accommodating host. Highly recommend!
