Excellent value. If you need to be centrally located in SF -- and 7th St is a fine location, one of the more gentrified streets in SOMA -- you can't do better for the price. (This costs the same as a private room in a good downtown hostel, but this is a much better choice.) Somebody put a lot of thought into making these rooms functional and intelligently designed. FYI, the furniture is an upper bunk with a nice real mattress and a lower bunk/futon with a very thin foam mattress. I could not sleep on the bottom mattress; when I asked, Sonia kindly arranged for the good mattress to move to the bottom bunk in my room. I mention this FYI, because if two or three people stay in the room, only one person will get a comfortable mattress. That's the only real issue I had - this is a great, clean, very usable place overall and I highly recommend it for a solo traveler.
Great location. Stayed for a month while moving out to San Francisco from east coast, the amenities are perfect (microwave, some dishes, sink) for staying for a short to medium term on a budget.
