The Chaos Oasis is the first construction made entirely from recyclable materials in the district. It is situated right next to the Mayan ruins and archeological park of Lubaantun. The village of San Pedro Columbia is a 10 minute walk from us, with chocolate making, river swimming and bird watching.
We welcome couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids), I say we are not suitable for pets as we have so many animals of our own: dogs, cats, a horse, ducks, chickens etc!

The space
We have a bottle / recycled house for your use, and will give you a tour of the Earthship and our whole recycling project. We are always working on a new project, so some spaces will be available and others under construction! We are completely off grid, so you can feel good about helping the environment if you don't mind the quirks that involves! So we have solar lights and cold showers, which can be great plus in the heat! and if you're into recycling it's the biggest recycling project in Southern Belize.
We also have a 25 acre farm with cacao, coffee and many fruit trees and our own ruins on the property.

Where you’ll be

San Pedro Columbia, Toledo District, Belize

Our village has a wealth of hidden treasures: there are several cacao farms who do tours and chocolate making, there is a wonderful Permaculture farm and also a butterfly farm, where you can see how to raise the amazing Blue Morpho butterfly, among others. You can go swimming, visit Maya ruins, caves, waterfalls, go on jungle hikes, nature is at your beck and call!
You can also make a trip into PG, to see the market, make drums, sample local culture ...the list goes on....!
