David and Joan were great! They were available and quick to respond when we had questions. The place is the perfect size / space for a getaway. The kitchen has some pans and utensils for you to use.

This guest house provides the perfect accommodations for a short or long stay in Tucson. It is located in a great central location in Tucson being very close to the University of Arizona, downtown Tucson, Mt Lemmon, Saguaro National Park East and is right next door to Reid park (a great place to go for a walk or a run or to play golf or tennis). It is also in one of my favorite neighborhoods in Tucson. The guest house is absolutely adorable and David and Joan have decorated it so well giving it a cozy and welcoming feel. Having a kitchen and full-size fridge is great, along with cable television, a separate bedroom and nice bathroom with walk-in shower. The yard/garden is gorgeous and is a great way for those not familiar with Tucson to see the unique and beautiful vegetation of the desert and you might even get to visit with their two pet tortoises. David and Joan are also very respectful of your privacy (you will have your own entrance and driveway), but are there right away when you need something. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

David and Joan's "Cozy Guest House" is the perfect little piece of Tucson paradise. It is ideally located in central Tucson with easy access to much of what makes Southwest Arizona wonderfully unique in it's history and geography. Most particularly David and Joan have created a beautiful, relaxing oasis in the private courtyard which gives their guests their own desert botanical garden.

Joan and David's place was a perfect haven for us to explore the Tucson area! It was quiet, super clean, artfully decorated, and comfortable. But as we always discover, it is the wonderful conversation with them that made us feel especially welcome. Their beautiful garden with all the animal friends was a special delight and is one of the highlights of our AZ trip!

David & Joans place was the perfect base and oasis for my explorations around Tucson. The inner courtyard with water features is a very relaxing. The guest house is well appointed and located in the historic San Clemente neighborhood - take a stroll around to appreciate the fine examples of Sonoran living. David & Joan were very helpful and always available if I needed anything. There was secure space for both of my bicycles. Look forward to staying here again the next time I am in Tucson.

David & Joan User ProfileDavid & Joan is a superhost.

Both recently retired, we have lived in Tucson for 19 years and fallen in love with the desert Southwest. David, originally from Michigan, retired from a purchasing career in natural foods. Joan, originally from Philadelphia, retired from accounting for non-profit organizations. We enjoy the local music scene (like our community radio station), gardening, and discovering the history, archaeology and culture of this part of the country.
