  • Emily and I loved David and Joan’s home. It was quaint, cozy, clean, and comfortable. They also have a lovely garden that is perfect for sitting outside while sipping coffee or tea. Their home is definitely number one on my list of places to stay in the Tucson area.

  • David and Joan's casita was an absolute dream. Not only was it incredibly clean, sophisticated and welcoming, but it was also put together and decorated with such care and taste. My only regret is that we were only able to stay for 2 nights due to our schedules. I highly recommend this refreshing oasis to anyone spending time in Tucson. We hope to be back soon!

  • David and Joan are very gracious hosts. They were kind enough to stay up for my late flight arrival to welcome me into their lovely guest house. The space is perfect for one, or two. I've stayed in many Airbnb guest houses, and I can say this is one of the best. Very clean, cute and comfortable. David and Joan are very kind and always available, but respect the guest's privacy. It was a joy to stay with them.

  • This is a little jewel in the desert. We were lucky to meet the box turtles Lulu and Rebecca during this trip. It is our second time here, and Joan and David are gracious, friendly and accommodating. The casita was as clean and comfortable as it was the first time. Thank you!!

  • What a beautiful and cozy (and clean!) guest house! The courtyard was beautiful, the turtles fun, and the hosts were Great! It was a pleasure to stay here and I can't wait until I need a place again--they're getting my call first!

  • My husband and I so enjoyed our stay at Joan and David's casita. Great location and every comfort provided. They have thought of everything and recommended awesome restaurants close by. We'll definitely be back!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights at the guest house and we absolutely loved it! It was very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Both David and Joan are very thoughtful hosts! They provided fresh fruits, english muffins, coffee and tea. In the bathroom, towels, shampoo and soap were provided. Also, there were music CDs, Tucson travel guides, restaurant recommendations etc. In short, it had everything that we needed for our stay! We also enjoyed their backyard which we relaxed and observed hummingbirds. We are also very thankful towards David for his help and patience when our car had a flat tyre. It was definitely a 5-star experience and I only wished we had stayed there longer! My boyfriend and I would love to stay with them again and would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Tucson!

  • We enjoyed our stay with David and Joan very much! The place was spotless when we arrived, and there was plenty of space for the two of us with a living room, kitchenette with basic appliances, nice shower and bedroom. David and Joan helped us with where to go for food, music and good directions on the use of the various things in the abode. Nice job!

  • What a sweet place with lovely hosts.....it was a great sanctuary on my visit to Tucson...everything was perfect...the place was spotless and they were so helpful and kind and thoughtful : having CDs of local musicians to listen to, the radio preset to the community radio station, muffins and coffee.....lots of info on hiking and biking......Joan and David are the best!

  • We enjoyed our stay at David and Joan's Casita. They were wonderful hosts who made us feel very comfortable. The guest house was immaculate and orderly. It had everything we needed for our 3 day visit. They helped us understand the entertainment systems, temperature controls and dining options when we arrived. All are nicely outlined in a notebook to refer to later. There is also a pretty outdoor space complete with orange and olive trees.

I hope we can return soon to enjoy their relaxing space.

About
Both recently retired, we have lived in Tucson for 17 years and fallen in love with the desert Southwest. David, originally from Michigan, retired from a purchasing career in natural foods. Joan, originally from Philadelphia, retired from accounting for non-profit organizations. We enjoy the local music scene (like our community radio station), gardening, and discovering the history, archaeology and culture of this part of the country.
