My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights at the guest house and we absolutely loved it! It was very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Both David and Joan are very thoughtful hosts! They provided fresh fruits, english muffins, coffee and tea. In the bathroom, towels, shampoo and soap were provided. Also, there were music CDs, Tucson travel guides, restaurant recommendations etc. In short, it had everything that we needed for our stay! We also enjoyed their backyard which we relaxed and observed hummingbirds. We are also very thankful towards David for his help and patience when our car had a flat tyre. It was definitely a 5-star experience and I only wished we had stayed there longer! My boyfriend and I would love to stay with them again and would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Tucson!
We enjoyed our stay with David and Joan very much! The place was spotless when we arrived, and there was plenty of space for the two of us with a living room, kitchenette with basic appliances, nice shower and bedroom. David and Joan helped us with where to go for food, music and good directions on the use of the various things in the abode. Nice job!
What a sweet place with lovely hosts.....it was a great sanctuary on my visit to Tucson...everything was perfect...the place was spotless and they were so helpful and kind and thoughtful : having CDs of local musicians to listen to, the radio preset to the community radio station, muffins and coffee.....lots of info on hiking and biking......Joan and David are the best!
We enjoyed our stay at David and Joan's Casita. They were wonderful hosts who made us feel very comfortable. The guest house was immaculate and orderly. It had everything we needed for our 3 day visit. They helped us understand the entertainment systems, temperature controls and dining options when we arrived. All are nicely outlined in a notebook to refer to later. There is also a pretty outdoor space complete with orange and olive trees.
I hope we can return soon to enjoy their relaxing space.
David and Joan's Cozy Guest House is perfect! As others have mentioned it was exceptionally clean, well supplied, and just a great place to stay. I loved the art and the information on the artists supplied in the binder, which is also full of other useful information from how to operate the coffeemaker to where to buy food or find a good meal. And the courtyard provided a special treat. I loved reading out there in the afternoon and having coffee and tea there in the morning with my husband.
David and Joan's casita had everything I needed for my Tucson vacation. Centrally located, the cute guest house felt like a home away from home with a great bathroom and shower as well as an excellent bedroom and living area. I was able to get fueled up and ready to go in the morning to enjoy the amazing outdoor activities Tucson has to offer. When I came back in the afternoon, I could get a great shower, relax and watch some TV or a movie and finally settle in for a good night's rest. My favorite parts: every room has a skylight and there's a park where you can walk and run just down the street. Joan and David were great hosts; I'm thankful I was able to enjoy their guest house.
very wonderful hosts! they had everything laid out including house and "things to do" lists! we enjoyed our stay! would highly recommend! thanks!
We had a wonderful time at Joan and David's cozy guest house. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. My husband and I stayed there for 10 days, and we felt so comfortable!! Joan and David have thought of everything-coffee in refrig, microwave, shampoo and body wash, lovely artwork by local artists, a beautiful walk-in shower, a gorgeous courtyard-backyard where you can relax, great widescreen TV and easy internet, a larger space where you feel you can spread out, lovely furnishings, and best of all-great hosts. If we had any questions, they were readily available. We will be back to enjoy their lovely space again:) Thanks so much for the perfect place to relax.
We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay with Joan and David in Tucson and hope to return for a longer stay soon. They are lovely hosts, the little guest house is spotless and cozy and very well situated for getting around Tucson. Our hosts know and love their community and are great resources.
Joan and David were the most perfect hosts - communicative, friendly, helpful. In addition, their guest house was gorgeous and very neat, with extra little amenities that made our stay very comfortable. I will definitely stay with them when I visit Tucson again!
