Overall Guest Satisfaction
Check In
  • Wonderful space with friendly accommodating hosts. We appreciated the separate driveway and quiet air conditioners. Joan and David obviously take great pride in their guest house and gave us a quick and helpful move in tour when we arrived. Overall perfect little space. We couldn't have asked for more!

  • We were thrilled with our "cozy" spot! Although it was too hot(104 degrees) to take advantage of the courtyard, it is absolutely charming. The guest house really is a house complete with living & dining room, functioning kitchen, bath (excellent hot water) & comfortable bedroom. The entire house is decorated with beautiful art work, including amazing pottery switch & outlet plates. It is located on a busy, central Tucson street, which makes is very convenient, but there is little noise inside. And, Joan & David, who instantly make you feel at home, supplied the kitchen with breakfast fixin's, which we enjoyed, and have provided a notebook with recommendations for places to dine, shop, & visit. In addition, they have lots of tourist pamphlets about Tucson & the surrounding areas. If we're ever in Tucson again, we'll be staying at Joan & David's very cozy guest house.

  • David and Joan were pleasant hosts. They were available and friendly and also respected our privacy. There home is charming and I felt very comfortable in their neighborhood. The guest house my travel partner and I stayed in was spacious, clean, well decorated, and a nice kitty greeted us upon arrival. If I were moving to Tucson I would likely try to convince David & Joan to rent to me long term. They have baby box turtles and desert tortoises in their gorgeous private garden, which we got to hold!!
I highly recommend staying with David and Joan when visiting Tucson. I genuinely wish I could have stayed longer.

  • It was such a pleasure staying in the "Cozy Casita" last month. David and Joan are excellent hosts, well organized and very helpful.
We enjoyed this well designed, thoughtfully planned residence which reflects so well the flavor of the Southwest -- it is truly a Tucson treasure.
There is a sense here of being close to nature, despite the proximity to a busy street. It is so peaceful and quiet. In the morning one can walk in the quiet, peaceful neighborhood, enjoying the bird songs.
This is s lovely place in which to stay!

  • Emily and I loved David and Joan’s home. It was quaint, cozy, clean, and comfortable. They also have a lovely garden that is perfect for sitting outside while sipping coffee or tea. Their home is definitely number one on my list of places to stay in the Tucson area.

  • David and Joan's casita was an absolute dream. Not only was it incredibly clean, sophisticated and welcoming, but it was also put together and decorated with such care and taste. My only regret is that we were only able to stay for 2 nights due to our schedules. I highly recommend this refreshing oasis to anyone spending time in Tucson. We hope to be back soon!

  • David and Joan are very gracious hosts. They were kind enough to stay up for my late flight arrival to welcome me into their lovely guest house. The space is perfect for one, or two. I've stayed in many Airbnb guest houses, and I can say this is one of the best. Very clean, cute and comfortable. David and Joan are very kind and always available, but respect the guest's privacy. It was a joy to stay with them.

Both recently retired, we have lived in Tucson for 17 years and fallen in love with the desert Southwest. David, originally from Michigan, retired from a purchasing career in natural foods. Joan, originally from Philadelphia, retired from accounting for non-profit organizations. We enjoy the local music scene (like our community radio station), gardening, and discovering the history, archaeology and culture of this part of the country.
