Description

The space

Leoncillos Home Gallery has been conceived to host people and ideas.
The space is located in DOWNTOWN Sevilla, in the old neighbourhood and one step away from everything you want to visit. This very comfortable, attic loft is situated on the top floor of a three storey building with an ELEVATOR.
You will also enjoy the large private TERRACE.

Leoncillos Home Gallery is an open space loft: wooden high ceilings, large windows, bright white walls that contrast with the colourful vintage furniture, offering you a feeling of nostalgia but in a contemporary space.
We decided to create a hybrid space with its own style. A space of transit but at the same time a place to feel at home. This is the ideal space to discover Sevilla, its rhythms, its energies, its emotions.
The perfect place to think, to create, to rest.

Terrace
25m2 of relax! The terrace is partially covered to protect you from the sun or rain while allowing you to enjoy an open air space in the old neighbourhood. Using recycled materials, we have created a chill out space surrounded by traditional herbs such as rosemary, basil, mint and thyme. This is a place to read, to enjoy a drink or just to rest. Awaits you on the other side of the terrace, is  wooden round table surrounded by jasmine plants for you to have your meals, write, paint, anything you want.

Bed

Using recycled wooden fruit boxes from the 50s, we have built two side tables. The head board is made of wood covered with vintage paper. The bed (150x200cm) is new (summer 2014), with a latex mattress.

Washroom

With no doubt, the most spectacular feature of the washroom is the  astonishing round skylight  opening from the very large shower. You can have a relaxing shower feeling the sun and water over your body.

Living room
In this space, art, literature and intimacy come together. Two vintage red armchairs from the 40/50s are situated in front of the large window opening to the terrace, between the gallery wall and the bookcrossing shelves.

Gallery

Home gallery is conceptualized as an exhibition space, in which the art pieces and the audience relate in the intimate space of a house. We are extremely proud that a variety of contemporary artists have agreed to show their art in this experiment happening for the first time in Sevilla. You will be interacting with these pieces in your own space and at your own pace, opening the possibilities for a new experience of art. For those who like or will like art, this is a wonderful experience.

Bookcrossing

You will find some book shelves for bookcrossing. You can take the book you like and leave books that you have already read and want to share with others.

The neighborhood

The building was a palace from the 1900s that was renovated using a contomporary style in June 2013. But many original details from the palace have been kept and are well maintained, giving this space a very special charm.
