H O T T I P!!!: Markthalle neun.(foto) Every Thursday (17-22 hours) STREET FOOD, Friday and Saturday (10-18 hours) WOCHENMARKT.

Very sunny apartment with a bedroom with one bed for two people and a living room with two beds (BEDSHEETS are included), kitchen and bathroom with SHOWER (TOWELS incl.),which is located in the lively district of Kreuzberg SO36 with many cafes, restaurants and bars around. The sightseeing attractions East Side Gallery (Berlin Wall) and Oberbaumbrücke are close-by. The metro stations Görlitzer Bahnhof and Schlesisches Tor U1 are just 5min walking distance away. The Ostbahnhof railway station is very easy to reach, and there is a bus (the 265) outside the front door. Carpark ist no problem in the street. The house (1890) is very quiet and in a very central location.

In the apartment there is a WIRELESS INTERNET CONNECTION (incl.) and we provide you with a local MOBILE PHONE ( all we ask you is that you leave the credit you use on the table when you leave) The kitchen is equipped with a WASHING MACHINE, DRYING RACK, DISHWASHER, refrigerator with freezer, kettle, coffee machine, cooker with oven and toaster. The bathroom has a Shower and there is also a HAIRDRYER. Bedroom and hallway each have a wardrobe. From the living room you can also see Berlins famous trademark the Fernsehturm. What makes this apartment unique are the colors in which the various rooms are decorated –bedroom with a rough wall in red shade, bathroom with a ceiling in navy-blue and gold, kitchen in light-blue and living room in red-orange with gold– and the old floorboard (1890).

The Eisenbahnstraße begins at the Lausitzer Platz where every Friday an organic farmer's market with fresh products of the region take place. There you can find such things as: a vegetarian restaurant (Café V) a very beloved ice cream café (tanne B) with Bioeis and ice cream for vegans , and many other restaurants and the beautiful Emmaus church (Emmaus Church in 1893 by August Orth). In the middle of the street is the Markthalle IX where every friday and saturday there is a street-market. The street ends at the Kopenickerstrasse (very close to the apartment), on the corner to the Heeresbäckerei (1893) from the Prussian era, and next the short Brommystraße. The Brommystrasse ends on a plateau by the Spree river, with a great view, where the former Brommybrücke was. In the borough there are also many expressions of street art very appreciated all over the world.

To walk or jog, there are two parks in the neighborhood: the Grörtlitzer Park ( 500m) and the Treptow Park (2km.)

There are 2 BIKES(incl.) that you can use.

For food-shopping, there are three well-known supermarkets nearby. Also at the other side of the Lausitzer Platz, in the Skalitzer Straße you will find a organic food store (Naturkost).

  • My stay here was great! He provided everything we needed. He also gave us information and useful tips. We didn't get a chance to use the bikes because of the weather but it we were easily able to find them. Be sure to ask about the air pump in going to use the bikes. As the only time we were going to use them one of them did not have enough air in the tires. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

  • We enjoyed staying at this apartment a lot. The location is great, the rooms are very cosy and clean - just what you expect after seeing the photos. A perfect choice for a weekend with friends in Berlin. The market nearby is very nice, and bikes are a pleasant bonus:)

  • The host was there to greet us and explain about the place!
I did not expect 4 flights of stairs but we got used to it!
The neighborhood is interesting with lots of restaurants and character!
We loved the night market Thursday from 5-10 and got to taste lots of good food!
It was also easy to get the metro and get around!
We bought the Berlin card and got on whenever we wanted to!
I would recommend this place if you are young
But the stairs and place was a bit funky but very special like the rest of Kreuzberg!! Thanks Juan!

  • We really enjoyed our weekend in Berlin. Juan has been a very helpful and patience host, we arrived 4 hours later because our flight was delayed and we were able to stay in touch with him by email/ texting all the time. When we arrived he explained us everything about the house and the bikes and gave us many tips on the neighborhood. The apartment is perfect, spacious, very bright, perfectly located and clean. I really recommend this apartment and I surely would come back here for my next visit in Berlin.

  • Lovely clean and light flat in a great neighbourhood, well-equipped kitchen, quiet bedroom, comfy mattress, WiFi worked well. It was great to have bikes (not the newest model but fine). Juan was a good host, very nice and well-organised. We would definitely stay there again!

  • We had a great time, the appartement is in a very good location, at around 10 min walk to the metro station, lots of places to go out to eat and for a drink.

The appartment has all what you are expecting form a good appartement to have. We got a phone for emergencies and 3 bikes.

I am living in BERLIN for about ten years and think that this city is amazing. SPORT is my favorite activity (jogging, cycling, swimming...). I have a degree in philosophy and work as a vegetarian COOK. Love good music and meeting new and interesting people. I have been living in many different places (London, Paris, Mallorca, Cologne...) and want that people coming in my place feel at HOME as I wish when I travel.
