Very sunny apartment with a bedroom with one bed for two people and a living room with two beds (BEDSHEETS are included), kitchen and bathroom with SHOWER (TOWELS incl.),which is located in the lively district of Kreuzberg SO36 with many cafes, restaurants and bars around. The sightseeing attractions East Side Gallery (Berlin Wall) and Oberbaumbrücke are close-by. The metro stations Görlitzer Bahnhof and Schlesisches Tor U1 are just 5min walking distance away. The Ostbahnhof railway station is very easy to reach, and there is a bus (the 265) outside the front door. Carpark ist no problem in the street. The house (1890) is very quiet and in a very central location.

In the apartment there is a WIRELESS INTERNET CONNECTION (incl.) and we provide you with a local MOBILE PHONE ( all we ask you is that you leave the credit you use on the table when you leave) The kitchen is equipped with a WASHING MACHINE, DRYING RACK, DISHWASHER, refrigerator with freezer, kettle, coffee machine, cooker with oven and toaster. The bathroom has a Shower and there is also a HAIRDRYER. Bedroom and hallway each have a wardrobe. From the living room you can also see Berlins famous trademark the Fernsehturm. What makes this apartment unique are the colors in which the various rooms are decorated –bedroom with a rough wall in red shade, bathroom with a ceiling in navy-blue and gold, kitchen in light-blue and living room in red-orange with gold– and the old floorboard (1890).

The Eisenbahnstraße begins at the Lausitzer Platz where every Friday an organic farmer's market with fresh products of the region take place. There you can find such things as: a vegetarian restaurant (Café V) a very beloved ice cream café (tanne B) with Bioeis and ice cream for vegans , and many other restaurants and the beautiful Emmaus church (Emmaus Church in 1893 by August Orth). In the middle of the street is the Markthalle IX where every friday and saturday there is a street-market. The street ends at the Kopenickerstrasse (very close to the apartment), on the corner to the Heeresbäckerei (1893) from the Prussian era, and next the short Brommystraße. The Brommystrasse ends on a plateau by the Spree river, with a great view, where the former Brommybrücke was. In the borough there are also many expressions of street art very appreciated all over the world.

To walk or jog, there are two parks in the neighborhood: the Grörtlitzer Park ( 500m) and the Treptow Park (2km.)

There are 2 BIKES(incl.) that you can use.

For food-shopping, there are three well-known supermarkets nearby. Also at the other side of the Lausitzer Platz, in the Skalitzer Straße you will find a organic food store (Naturkost).

  • Juan and his apartment were perfect in every way. He was very understanding and patient when we arrived later than expected and was very helpful, giving us tips on where to go, leaving us maps and information and a phone with his contact in-case we needed him. The apartment is in a great area with a bus stop at the end of the street and the nearest tram/train about a ten minute walk.

Would highly recommend and will definitely use Juan and his place again. Thank you so much.xxxxx

  • Le prêt gratuit de vélos se révèle être un vrai plus pour visiter berlin en toute quiétude et à son rythme. Merci donc à Juan pour ce service supplémentaire.

  • The flat is very homelike, tidy and well located. We spent very nice time there. Juan was helpful and ready to answer our questions, I definitely can recommend his place.

  • All I can say about Juan's flat is WOW! It has literally everything you could want from a flat for a city break. It was very spacious, very clean, very well maintained, quiet, lots of places to relax, read and enjoy, free WIFI, very well decorated, comfy bed, crisp and fresh sheets and towels. But also little things like a pay as you go mobile you can use, a fully stocked kitchen which are great no matter how long you spend in the flat. Location wise it is again perfect, with lots of beautiful bars and restaurants on the same street and in the surrounding area, together with parks and u-bahn nearby you are ideally placed to explore the area and the city! Finally Juan is a very welcoming and accomodating host.

  • This apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated, and very well-equipped. Juan was very helpful and responded to emails promptly. The bikes were also incredibly useful. Berlin was great and if/when we go again we'd love to stay with Juan again!

  • You might be able to find a budget hotel room for a similar price BUT you won't have the use of a proper kitchen or the extra room to spread-out in that this GREAT place offers. Juan offers a thoughtful stay with maps, plenty of local recommendations/tips and even bikes to borrow. The Market Hall just down the street is special, especially the street foods and atmosphere on Thursday nights! The neighborhood is funky and gives you a different perspective from the more touristy areas but you are still close to everything using public transit, the bikes or even walking if the weather is good. The area has lots of great eating options but you can also prepare full meals in the well equipped apartment kitchen (a treat for travelers). Washing machine and drying rack also handy when you've been traveling around. The apartment is perfect for getting the most out of a trip to Berlin!

I am living in BERLIN for about ten years and think that this city is amazing. SPORT is my favorite activity (jogging, cycling, swimming...). I have a degree in philosophy and work as a vegetarian COOK. Love good music and meeting new and interesting people. I have been living in many different places (London, Paris, Mallorca, Cologne...) and want that people coming in my place feel at HOME as I wish when I travel.
