Very sunny apartment with a bedroom with one bed for two people and a living room with two beds (BEDSHEETS are included), kitchen and bathroom with SHOWER (TOWELS incl.),which is located in the lively district of Kreuzberg SO36 with many cafes, restaurants and bars around. The sightseeing attractions East Side Gallery (Berlin Wall) and Oberbaumbrücke are close-by. The metro stations Görlitzer Bahnhof and Schlesisches Tor U1 are just 5min walking distance away. The Ostbahnhof railway station is very easy to reach, and there is a bus (the 265) outside the front door. Carpark ist no problem in the street. The house (1890) is very quiet and in a very central location.
In the apartment there is a WIRELESS INTERNET CONNECTION (incl.) and we provide you with a local MOBILE PHONE ( all we ask you is that you leave the credit you use on the table when you leave) The kitchen is equipped with a WASHING MACHINE, DRYING RACK, DISHWASHER, refrigerator with freezer, kettle, coffee machine, cooker with oven and toaster. The bathroom has a Shower and there is also a HAIRDRYER. Bedroom and hallway each have a wardrobe. From the living room you can also see Berlins famous trademark the Fernsehturm. What makes this apartment unique are the colors in which the various rooms are decorated –bedroom with a rough wall in red shade, bathroom with a ceiling in navy-blue and gold, kitchen in light-blue and living room in red-orange with gold– and the old floorboard (1890).
The Eisenbahnstraße begins at the Lausitzer Platz where every Friday an organic farmer's market with fresh products of the region take place. There you can find such things as: a vegetarian restaurant (Café V) a very beloved ice cream café (tanne B) with Bioeis and ice cream for vegans , and many other restaurants and the beautiful Emmaus church (Emmaus Church in 1893 by August Orth). In the middle of the street is the Markthalle IX where every friday and saturday there is a street-market. The street ends at the Kopenickerstrasse (very close to the apartment), on the corner to the Heeresbäckerei (1893) from the Prussian era, and next the short Brommystraße. The Brommystrasse ends on a plateau by the Spree river, with a great view, where the former Brommybrücke was. In the borough there are also many expressions of street art very appreciated all over the world.
To walk or jog, there are two parks in the neighborhood: the Grörtlitzer Park ( 500m) and the Treptow Park (2km.)
There are 2 BIKES(incl.) that you can use.
For food-shopping, there are three well-known supermarkets nearby. Also at the other side of the Lausitzer Platz, in the Skalitzer Straße you will find a organic food store (Naturkost).
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, clean and well-equipped apartment. The place has everything you need, communication with Juan went smoothly and the area is very pleasant and interesting. Definitely a place to come back to and I would recommend it to anyone!
Spacious, clean, bright and quiet flat with a friendly atmosphere. Good location: bars, restaurants and public transport within short distance.
Lovely spacious flat, super smooth check in and out, very convenient location, with a delicious vegetarian restaurant at the end of the road (Cafe V). Very much recommended.
Fantastic apartment, everything you could need! Great location and very cosy on a cold February trip to Berlin.
Great spot in Kreuzberg with good connections to transport, shops and clubs. Quiet and efficient with everything you need. Go!
Lovely apartment in a great location - particularly for us as we were visiting our son who lives just two doors away! We spent four days there over an extremely cold January weekend and it was lovely to come back to the warm comfortable apartment after being out in the freezing cold. The apartment was very spacious (for two people) and well equipped. We loved the Kreuzberg area too - as other reviewers have said there are supermarkets close by and we spent quite a bit of time in the market down the road; there are also lots of nice restaurants in the area and we were able to walk to most places during our stay. Juan was very accommodating, replying to all my messages rapidly and allowing us to have a late check out which we really appreciated. We also thought it was a nice touch to leave us a mobile telephone which we were able to use to make local calls. We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to be using it again at some point.
Great flat in a great area, nice bars locally and there is a great food market on the street. It is slightly removed from the metro stops and if the weather allows for the use of the bikes I'm sure that's fine. When its -12 it felt like a bit of a walk!
There are frequent cabs however and they are good value.
Juan's communication is great and there is info and a handy phone provided to get help if required. We didnt need this however and had a great stay.
Great apartment, great location, great host. Will be recommending this to all our friends who visit Berlin.
Juan's apartment is amazing. He made a huge effort to make this place as comfortable as it can get. Everything a tired traveler may need is in this place, even a cell phone with prepaid SIM card. If you are still hankering for adventures, Juan will provide you with two bicycles. Do not miss the old market near the apartment. Every Thursday night is a street food night (one of the tips from the list provided by Juan). Juan is a very nice guy, it is hosts like him who make Airbnb a wonderful experience.
