An entire house all to yourself in the artsy West Town neighborhood of Chicago with restaurants, bars, galleries and music minutes away. The apartment features a spacious living, two bedrooms and a big kitchen with breakfast and drinks, but is affordable on any budget. Close to downtown bus, free parking.
If you book with me, you'll receive the keys to my apartment and you will have it all to yourself: the living room, a first bedroom with a queen sized bed, a second bedroom (use it as a storage room), the bathroom, and the very spacious kitchen.
The kitchen allows you to cook a meal or heat up a snack. It has all the pots, pans, plates and silverware you could need, as well as a stove, oven, fridge and microwave. Breakfast is provided, as is coffee, tea, some sodas, beers, water and snacks.
And if there's ever anything else you need, I'm be available for any question via text or email during your stay.
A bit a bout the neighborhood: the street is very quiet, and there are a few great local options just around the corner: the amazing Bite Cafe, a fantastic (star-worthy) Japanese place, a cozy coffee shop and the best music venue in all of Chicago - The Empty Bottle, to name just a few. There is free parking in most of the area.
The super trendy neighborhood of Wicker Park is just 10-15 minutes by bus (or just a few minutes by cab) and has a plethora of bars, restaurants, music venues and shops. You could easily spend a day shopping, eating and drinking here without even having to think of going downtown.
If you want to go downtown however, you'll find yourself walking the Magnificent Mile in just 15 minutes (by cab) or 30 minutes (by bus).
My calendar is up-to-date and I'm waiting to hear from you. Let me know if you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to answer them.

I have nothing negative to say. Daan's home was absolutely amazing. It was everything I had expected. It was great to have the whole place to ourselves. Daan checked in with us during our stay to see if we needed anything and that was much appreciated. I hope to book with him again in the future.
Daan's apartment is spacious, spotless, and in a great location. There are some great little restaurants and bars in Ukrainian Village; Wicker Park is a short bus ride away (or a nice walk); and also downtown is easily accessible by bus. I would they there again.
At first, you might think Daan's place is a bit far from dowtown. Think again! Wicker Park is definitely one of Chicago's coolest neighborhoods, and the appartment is just minutes away from it. You'll love the queen size bed (one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in in my life), the living room artwork and the couch on the huge balcony. And that's just the beggining.
We spent a whole week there, and it was really like being at home... except maybe for all those cute little notes that Daan had left for us all over the appartment! Even while out of town, he showed to be an exceptionnaly generous, available and accomodating host. Without ever meeting him, we felt so warmly welcomed!
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My boyfriend and I had a great experience at Daan's place. It was an excellent time. He had left some goodies in the freezer/fridge and on the shelf. I felt a little badly because my boyfriend demolished all of the cereal, haha!
Overall, we had a great time. Daan was extremely attentive. I have a lot of anxiety so I spent a decent amount of time asking this and worrying about that and he responded to EVERYTHING quickly. He was very nice.
The bed was amazingly comfortable and it was great having everything we needed.
My only complaint was that there weren't any spices or cooking knives or spatula's. I had bought a filet mignon to cook for my boyfriend who came home for a week from the army and I couldn't make it. But that aside I didn't really specify that I would be cooking and a lack of steak didn't take away from our time so it was fine. I should have been more prepared.
Daan also let us come in the morning which was excellent. I hope that we didn't cause him too much trouble!
Again, it was awesome and Daan is the best. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
Daan was a great host! He had everything we could need waiting in the apt: breakfast, coffee/tea, meals in the freezer, lots of snacks, maps and info about nearby stores and restaurants, toiletries in case we forgot, even some alcohol. The apt was very clean and cozy with plenty of space. I would definitely recommend staying here, and I'd stay here again if I'm back in Chicago!
Awesome apartment, loved the notes everywhere, loved how the house was fully equiped with everything you could possibly need. Right in the city, on the first floor so didn't have to drag luggage everywhere. Truly a great experience!
This was a totally fantastic experience for us. Daan was very accommodating and communicative. The space was clean and well stocked. We were able to have breakfast and dinner at Daan's place because the fridge had some frozen dinners that were available. He also left out alcohol for us, which was very sweet. The bathroom has extras of a few things if you forget something, which is also extremely thoughtful. It's in a great location. There's a Puerto Rican restaurant called Nellie's where we had breakfast one morning that is within walking distance I highly recommend. The heater keeps the place very warm, which is hard to do with no carpet, high ceilings, and big windows. A really great find for those who want to visit Chicago but are on a budget.
Great location and great price. Daan was extremely accommodating. He really just uses the place for Air b and b and therefore it's set up for travelers. Absolutely would stay again to be near Wicker Park and Bucktown for less than most hotels downtown. There are two things that people might want to be aware of is that it's not all that close to any train lines. There are two useful bus lines very close, though. And, while there is free parking on the street, depending on the time of day, you may not find a parking place on the block. But neither of these things were deterrents to having a great stay.
Daan was a very accomadating host. The apartment was clean, with plenty of room and in a convienient location. It was stocked with some basic food, milk, etc. as well as clean towels and extra toiletries in case we forgot anything. We ate at the restaurant that he suggested, Bite Cafe and it was excellent. Overall we had a great stay and would stay again in a heartbeat!
