Erika was not there to greet us but her friend was waiting for us in the apartment. Erika was very communicative the entire time. We felt very welcome and the apartment itself had plenty of space for two people. The neighborhood at night was noisy (bars, restaurants, etc) but if you're not into that - don't stay in Trastevere!
Awesome little apartment in Trastevere. Apartment has everything you need and all the major sites in Rome are walking distance. Trastevere is a great area with lots of bars and restaurants so we didn’t ever need to walk far at night. Please note this property is in a busy area that is noisy till 2/3am so if you are looking for somewhere that you can have an early night this may not be the location for you. It didn’t bother us as we made the most of the nightlife. Best meal with had was at Hosteria dei numeri primi which is just round the corner and so good we went back again on our last night.
It was a lovely experience for us! Erika's flat was in the heart of Trastevere and nicely decorated. It's so close to everywhere, walking distance Colloseum, Vatican, Pantheon, Trevi even Spanish steps. We arrived 3 hours late but her friend was waiting for us. Towels, sheets, home were clean. During the night neigborhood can be noisy but you can go out and have some fun instead fo trying to sleep:) Thanks for everything!
Erika is a GREAT host ! We arrive to Rome from after a stay in Southern Italy. She was constantly in communication to discuss arrival time. Was kind enough to give us directions in regards to what buses and trains to take to arrive to the apartment. We left for Greece very early and she was kind enough to call an reserve a taxi for us the day before. She is very easy to get in touch with. The area is GREAT . She is central to many restaurants yet in a relatively quiet area ( even though there is a restaurant below the apartment). She is close to the bridges to cross over to Rome and all the sights. We enjoyed our stay so much and Erika was so kind, we booked again with her after our trip to Greece prior to flying back to the states. Again, our flight back home was extremely early(6am) and she was kind enough to reserve us a taxi again.
Besides Erika being a great host, and very kind. The apartment is exactly as pictured. Clean and modern. Wifi works well, The A/C is a nice touch after a long day of sight seeing in the hot Roman sun.
This apartment is great for a visit in Rome. It's central to everything, and you are living right in the middle of the old streets of Rome. We walked to the Vatican City, Colosseum, Pantheon, etc. from the apartment. If you don't feel like walking, you easily get a taxi from the main street just a minute away. There are convenient stores, pharmacies and restaurants, just few steps away. You will find charming little boutiques, and a lot of beautiful piazza's and churches in the area (Trastevere). The apartment itself is modernised with a beautiful tall wooden ceiling and door. You have everything you need, a kitchen, appliances, big bed, a lot of closet space, dining table/area, couch/tv area with tv, air conditioner/heater, and a fully functional bathroom with shower and heated towel holders. The WiFi works great and the apartment was spotless and super clean when we arrived. Another important fact is the safety -it felt 100% safe in the area, the building door is locked and the apartment door has the safest and biggest lock I have ever seen, kinda like an ancient door where you have to turn the key several times before it opens. The apartment fits two people perfectly comfortably, but I would say you could easily fit in an extra mattress or two, because of the great space. We didn't get the pleasure of meeting Erika or the apt. owner Anna, but a friend of hers, were there to greet us when we arrived. Everything about this stay was perfect, I would truly recommend this for everyone. Thanks a lot for having us, we will be back for sure :) -Nina
PS: Not far from the apartment is a Restaurant called Dar Poeta, which honestly has the BEST PIZZA IN ROME. Yum! They also do take-away, if you feel like a quiet night home in the apartment. :)
The apartment if wonderful. Clean, well designed and in a fantastic location. The host was accommodating, punctual and responsive.
The apartment overlooks a beautiful square with two wonderful restaurants which are very popular. If late night noise from the restaurants bothers you, you should take this into account . We hope to stay there again.
