Welcome to Lilburn Mansion, also known as the Castle! We appreciate your interest in this beautiful 160-year-old historic mansion that we call home.

Welcome to Lilburn Mansion, also known as the Castle! We appreciate your interest in this beautiful 160-year-old historic mansion that we call home. The Castle is our primary residence and our pride and joy. We welcome anybody that would like a chance to relax and enjoy the peace and serenity of our historic home. Our home has been host to productions that have appeared on Discovery Channel, Discovery Science, A&E, and full-length feature films. The Castle is a tranquil setting in the woods but walking distance to beautiful, historic downtown old Ellicott City.

The Castle is close enough to Baltimore, DC, and BWI to make it an excellent base for the National Capital Region.

If you are looking for a perfect romantic getaway or an opportunity for peace and solitude, we would love to be your hosts.

To save a bit of time for you and us, we want to be precise. The Castle is not a party pad or location for obscene photoshoots or productions. We do NOT rent our property for pool parties of any kind, so please do not ask.

Price listed is based on up to 4 people and is not negotiable. Each additional person/child is $100 per night.

We do host weddings, tv/movie productions, professional photo shoots, and tasteful events.

Guest access
Kitchen, pool, grounds, outdoor spaces, library, ball room, basement for an extra charge. Beyond 4 guests will be at an extra charge.

Other things to note
If the main house is rented the owner some times stays in the basement with a separate entrance and locks from the main house inside. The owner may be at the pool or at another area outside. The owners will do their best to avoid guests outdoors so you will have a private visit.

The ballroom and library is off limits for drinks and food unless contracted for an event. Food and drink are limited to the kitchen, dining room, and outdoors. Drink coasters and placemats are provided to protect the surfaces of the dining room table. Please do not place drinks or other hot, cold or wet items on other wood furniture or marble surfaces. Guests will be charged for damage to surfaces, rugs, and furniture.

The pool is for guests staying at the house only or as a decoration for an event. Absolutely no pool parties. Swimming is at your own risk and guests are liable for any incident that occurs in the pool. All safety rules must be abided by without fail.

Children must be supervised at all times in and around the home and pool.

All items in cabinets and shelves must remain in place. Please do not attempt to open locked or closed closets, cabinets, or drawers. Please don’t attempt to go above the second floor, attic, or basement.

WiFi is provided on a limited basis and is spotty at best. We don’t guarantee a good connection so we specifically do not have WiFi listed as an amenity. The house is solid stone and has serious challenges with WiFi.

There is a county noise ordinance that must be obeyed at midnight.

Please don’t block the driveway of the neighbor, drive on our grass or park in the neighbors driveway.
