Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • The place is very comfortable and clean; its good localization is very important: it’s near to the metro and a super market. This quiet neighborhood is a place where you can feel in the original Chicago. Conrad, the host is very friendly and generous.
Nice place, our family enjoy it

  • Location for the Gatehouse can't be beat! Conrad was very accommodating and allowed you to make this space yours during your stay.

  • Everything was wonderful, no inconvinience at all. Really nice a cozy place!

    April 2013
  • Great stay! He was responsive to all our needs. Location is great too!

    November 2012
  • The owner of this place (Conrad) was incredibly flexible in getting the keys to us. The moment we walked into the garden apartment, I felt at home and comfortable. The place was larger than I expected, and incredibly private (there's a separate entrance) and quiet. The apartment is the perfect location, a few blocks from public transportation, a whole foods, and a caribou coffee/starbucks on a few corners - perfect for a beautiful early morning stroll in the fall! I'll definitely try to stay here again next time I'm in Chicago.

    October 2012
  • Cozy Garden was in a nice residential area that is conveniently located to the metro system (EL). It was perfect for our needs and clean and comfortable. We would stay there again if we are in Chicago.

    September 2012
  • Nice place. As advertised: clean, quiet, and convenient. Host was easy to work with for key pickup and drop off.

    September 2012
  • Clean, neat, comfortable, good neighborhood, friendly host. No complaints!

    August 2012
  • The unit was well-furnished and well-maintained. A few comments, however:

    1) The laundry machines for the entire building are located within the unit, so you may get requests from other tenants for you to leave your door unlocked so that they can use the laundry. This isn't a huge security concern since access is still limited to other people occupying the building, but something to be aware of if you're especially cautious.

    2) Street parking can be challenging on occasion, but is generally available on the street.

    July 2012
  • For my first time visiting Chicago and the first time using Airbnb and I would definitely stay here again! The Studio was perfect: own entrance, clean, nice bathroom, WI-FI!, close to a Walgreens, Public Transportation (bus and the Paulina Brown Line) just a couple of blocks up, and interesting restaurants! The neighborhood is family oriented with a lot of people walking with strollers and dogs. I even felt safe walking back to the studio from the eL at 2am (though I kept a look out to be safe). Malcolm was great to give me easy directions through CTA from O'Hare. Would definitely stay here the next time I visit the Windy City!
