Vibrant neighborhood

Guests say this area is walkable with lots to explore, especially for dining out.
Lewis Creek Loft is located in the Wharf's historic district in Downtown Staunton. The Loft is a hop, skip, and a jump away from delicious dining, downtown breweries, creative local artisanship and unique shopping, theatre, galleries, beautiful mountain trails, and much, much more.

The space
Lewis Creek Loft is located in the heart of Staunton's downtown historic district, and because of that, there are guidelines that must be followed regarding the structure of the building itself. Lewis Creek Loft is fitted with original single-pane windows which are not as well insulated as modern storm windows. This can cause you to feel a slight draft by the windows even if they are fully closed. They also do not block noise as well as modern windows, so you may hear some noise from traffic and events taking place in the surrounding area.

The apartment features original artwork in all rooms, a living room complete with a large screen TV, paired with Apple TV screening Netflix and Hulu. Organic coffee and teas are provided in the fully equipped kitchen to kickstart your morning.

Should you need to iron your evening best to attend a play at Blackfriars Playhouse, we’ve got you covered. Other amenities include Wireless internet, a sound machine in the bedroom, a yoga mat, weights and a bathroom scale.

Please note that the bedroom and living room are separated by an open entrance; there is no door separating the 2 rooms - hence the term 'Loft' in the name, Lewis Creek Loft - sitting high above Lewis Creek, which flows under the Wharf parking lot just slightly to the East of the building!

For those that wish to bring an additional guest, or request separate sleeping arrangements, we can offer a quality air mattress for an additional set up fee of $25.00, invoiced through Airbnb change request center. This will be set up in the living room in a corner, not visible to the bedroom.

Guest access
The entire apartment is available to you and your fellow travelers during your stay. Entrance is provided by the top key safe at an exterior door. The apartment is located up one flight of steps. The interior hallway, post exterior door, is shared with one other apartment, which is across the hall from Lewis Creek Loft.

Other things to note
This apartment is a nonsmoking space. We use all natural cleaning products and are advocates for a local economy and a sustainable lifestyle.

We love furry friends too, but this apartment does not permit pets.

Lives in Staunton, Virginia
I am a former homesteader, a lifelong gardener, and naturalist, whose dream is to help build a sustainable future where we grow our own foods, take care of our own people and need very little to be imported from afar. In 2011, I founded Allegheny Mountain Institute, a 501c3 non profit, whose mission is to cultivate healthy communities through food and education in the Shenandoah Valley and Highlands of Virginia.   My passions include spending time with family, dance, making music and art, and exploring the magical and mysterious intricacies in our natural world.
