Very nice place for the cheap price! Clean room and nice swiming pool! I would recommend it!
we spent 21 days at this hotel, Surya Abadi.
Our host, Morgan could have been more present during our 21 day stay. We never met her. Also, the pick-up that she arranged took us to the wrong hotel, entirely.
Kadek, who was like a host to us was AMAZING. He was so helpful from arranging rental services to recommending other destinations during our stay. The staff is very nice but shy, and none of them speak English. still, they were always helpful. The place is beautiful. The restaurant is good but the places nearby are cheaper: if you exit the hotel and go left 20 metres, there's an amazing little hole-in-the-wall Warung. Also, if you go right for about 300 metres, you will find Changgu Cafe II, on the left. These places are delicious, affordable, and really make you feel like home. The room is just as we expected: small and cozy. They cleaned it often, but never changed sheets or towels. The door is extremely difficult to lock. On the contrary, there was ALWAYS hot water. This isn't common in Bali. While we were staying there, the fish in the ponds by the pool were dying because the water was drying up. This was strange and the smell was awful. Anyways, the price was great. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others. It was perfect for our situation: a young couple on a budget.
Perfect area if you like privacy. All the staff are friendly. The room is very calming and the door is a sliding window so you feel as if you're always "in Bali" and not hidden in you're room. Anyways, I just used the room to sleep in at night and eat breakfast at in the morning and this room is a perfect place as a sanctuary.
It was a very nice and cozy place except for its sink. Georgeous view, very authentic but i didnt even bother to use the sink. My door room was can't be locked but the staff fix it quickly. Please clean up your sink then its perfect
Do get the correct Surya Abadi as there are a couple of them in the vicinity. My driver could not find the way to the place and we have to call the number provided a couple of times before someone picks up. The bathroom is outdoor but has hot shower so its fine. The walls are made of straws so its not really sound proof and can hear almost every movement from the neighbours.
The place is located at the outskirt of the main town and it may be difficult to get a taxi in the area.
Regardless, the people working there are very friendly and helpful!
