Interaction with Guests
I am friendly and available. Most evenings seem to get filled with plans, but I always enjoy going out with guests when our schedules mesh!
The neighborhood is very safe. I moved here in part so I wouldn't have any worry about my parents visiting. Unlike Santa Monica and Venice, I feel safe and secure walking around at any hour and am comfortable with having the door unlocked.
There are local public buses and the rail system to downtown is only about 4 miles away...
My hope is for you to have the time of your life here!
I don't think a lot of rules are needed other than common courtesy, but here are a few key items just in case:
** Please be mindful and courteous to never block the landlord's driveway (immediately next to our parking slot) or any other. ** (Thanks!)
Help keep the neighborhood tranquil and quiet - as with all AirBnB places I've ever been, if we don't make AirBnB a problem for neighbors, they won't make it a problem for us.
(Ignore this if you are car-free!) Please park to the RIGHT of the driveway - the building owners need free and continuous use of the driveway. The space is tight and you can ask me to "valet park" your car myself or guide you in.
The neighborhood is tranquil and safe. Sound travels so...
Peace and quiet for our neighbors is a top priority...
Check in is 4pm, but you can arrive earlier if no one is occupying your room. Let's coordinate about that.
Check out is noon, but again you can leave later if no one will be coming to occupy your room after you. We can coordinate...
There's a limit of 2 guests checking in total. No outside people without express permission - since this is my home I'm opening up.
Please wash off sand before you come in so the apartment. (There is a hose conveniently outside the front door). The shower gets a little sandy, but that's expected!
Please leave shoes/sandals at door - it's much more sanitary in general, it keeps the apartment looking great, and prevents unwelcome grit from getting in bed with you.
Let me know if anything is missing or needed so I can put it right...
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and most importantly, please enjoy your stay!!
Andrew is a great host! He thought of every detail that could make a guest feel welcome and has a wonderful place to visit. Being just minutes to the beach was great and Andrew even had a volleyball and beach towels for us to use! Definitely one of the best airbnb experiences I've had!!
Andrew is a very gracious host. He is friendly, warm and welcoming. He is interested in his guests and very authentically engages with them. I truly felt he was happy to be sharing his space. The space is private, peaceful and very comfortable. Andrew goes above and beyond to provide lots of 'little extras' that give you a high end hotel feel. I would stay here again without reservation.
Everything was perfect from the moment we got there until the moment we left. I don't think someone's ever made us feel as welcome as Andrew did for us. He met us outside when we got there, parked our car for us (there's a trick to it that once you know you can do pretty easily), and showed us around the place. We were immediately impressed – the place isn't huge, but it is very well kept, and I was impressed by his unwavering attention to detail. You know how they say that a good host anticipates your needs before you realize you have them? Andrew is that kind of host.
The place is pretty easy to find if you follow his directions, and the area is super laid back, walkable, and all-around very beach-y. It felt very safe, and was very quiet.
I'm afraid I might miss something by being too verbose, so here are the highlights:
-wine, cheese, etc. set out for us when we arrived (super nice)
-he was engaging throughout but not overbearing at all (not easy to do)
-he took us out surfing (!)
-we had a (delicious) home-cooked meal one night
I have a habit of being short-sighted with my reviews (i.e. lots of them sound like "this was the best stay ever!"), but this is one time I think it's quite warranted. Andrew has hosting down to an exact science, like perhaps nobody else we've stayed with.
I would say that not only is his listing going to be our go-to home-away-from-home in Manhattan Beach – it's going to be the first place we think about when venturing anywhere near SoCal. We very, very highly recommend it.
I new the moment I walked into Andrew's amazing Manhattan Beach pad I was in for a treat! For starters he greeted me with a snack plate and a welcome bottle of wine. We got along just great so much so we actually made a dinner together with great conversation. The location just Rocks so close to the Ocean and the main streets for shopping and Restaurants. It's a special place and I certainly will be visiting again hopefully soon. I just love Manhattan Beach and this place was nothing short of AWESOME!
Another day in paradise! Werde die Zeit echt vermissen!

About the Host, Andrew
Friendly and outgoing! I love meeting new people and I want you to feel welcome and at home here in Manhattan Beach paradise.
Your holiday vacation time is precious and sacred. My ambition is for it to be delight-filled, rich, relaxing and memorable for you... and my intention in decorating and setting the space is that it bring peace of mind.
I enjoy connecting and sharing with guests. It's one of my favorite aspects of AirBnB.
You may also prefer just to keep to yourself and enjoy your vacation on your own. Please enjoy without obligation...
I recently joined a startup in laboratory medicine. Life, friends, family, and surfing keep me busy and fulfilled.
Travel and being outdoors are a huge love of mine. Trading ideas, learning, helping friends succeed, reading biographies, playing, cooking, meeting new people who love what they do, enjoying wine bars and cafes, and doing meaningful work are all important to me.
I live in a charming beach town that I hope you'll love and return to again and again if you visit.
I love music and playing guitar (though not too well) and singing.
As a "professional guest" during my travels last year on AirBnB, I discovered that the details make all the difference. So I aspired to apply what I learned and create as wonderful and relaxing an experience as possible for you while you're my honored guest. Please tell me if there is anything I can do to make it better and I'll do my best to make it happen.
Reach out if you have any questions...
I look forward with anticipation to meeting you!
Inspired cooking by top chef. The food lives up to the spectacular name. They are big on oysters, and even though Im not, I found plenty of scrumptious fare.Manhattan Avenue Manhattan Beach CA 90266
Highly creative and delicious (and pricey) Asian-French fusion food. It gets very noisy, so try to sit far towards the back. Nothing is boring from the decor to the clientele to the menu...Manhattan Avenue Manhattan Beach CA 90266
If you want to pull out the stops and have a spectacular ocean view and great menu, but dont mind paying for it, this is the place to go. Theres also a nice club/bar in lower portion of the venue...Manhattan Beach Boulevard Manhattan Beach CA 90266
Acclaimed Japanese restaurant. Everything Ive had here is delicious. Go early. It gets busy...Highland Avenue Manhattan Beach CA 90266
This is the place to shop if youre on foot. Vons is known as Safeway in most of the rest of the country. Pretty much anything you want to cook is available here, with plenty of organic options...Manhattan Beach Boulevard Manhattan Beach CA 90266
