Lake Huron Freebird is a cozy, remodeled 2-bedroom cottage designed for up to 4 guests. The cottage has an open concept living room and kitchen, two private bedrooms with queen beds, one bathroom, and a lake view doorwall that opens to a private deck with outdoor seating and water views.
The living area is bright, comfortable, and boutique styled with a coastal Freebird feel. The kitchen is compact but functional for simple meals, coffee, snacks, and easy vacation dining. Both bedrooms are best suited for couples, solo travelers, or a small family who want a calm, comfortable place to relax after beach days, golfing, boating, or exploring the Au Gres/Tawas area.
Outside, guests have their own private deck and a grassy outdoor area for relaxing, lawn games, and campfire time. Lake access is shared within the small eight cottage community. The beach is a natural Lake Huron mix of rock and sand, with a sandbar located offshore.
Please note: this is a small cottage in a shared waterfront cottage community, not a large private estate. It is best for guests who appreciate a stylish, cozy space, outdoor living, lake views, and a peaceful social cottage setting. No pets. No indoor cameras.

Guests have private access to the entire cottage, including both bedrooms, the bathroom, kitchen, living room, and private lake-view deck.
Guests may also enjoy the cottage’s outdoor area, including space for relaxing, lawn games, and campfire time. Outdoor travel bags/cornhole-style games, lawn activities, and a variety of indoor board games are provided for both children and adults.
For rainy days or quiet nights in, the cottage includes basic cable TV, a DVD player with a collection of movies, and the ability to log in to your own streaming accounts such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, or similar services. Please remember to log out before checkout.
Lake access is shared within the small eight-cottage waterfront community. The shoreline is a natural Lake Huron mix of rock and sand, with a sandy swim-friendly sandbar located offshore.
Parking is available for up to 2 vehicles in the designated cottage parking area. Please note that the cottage community has a narrow shared drive, so parking and turning around can be tight, especially with larger trucks or SUVs. Two pickup trucks can fit, but maneuvering may be more challenging when neighboring cottages also have vehicles present. Mid-size and smaller vehicles are easiest. Guests may need to drive to the end of the lane to turn around rather than backing out.
No pets, no parties, and maximum occupancy is 4 guests.
Other things to note
Lake Huron Freebird is a small cottage best suited for registered guests only. Due to the cottage size, parking limitations, and the peaceful nature of the community, no additional visitors, parties, events, or gatherings are permitted. Fireworks are not allowed.
Firewood is not provided on-site, but it is usually available on the way into town at several roadside stands and local stops.
The cottage is on city water and uses a septic system. There is no garbage disposal, so please do not put food scraps, coffee grounds, grease, oil, paper towel, wipes, feminine products, or anything other than toilet paper down the drains or toilet. Please scrape plates into the trash before washing dishes.
This helps protect the septic system, the cottage, and the lakefront community.
