Welcome to DTWild "front house." Your much needed mountain escape. Our newly renovated, retro fabulous, 3 bedroom, groovy cabin rests under the tall pines.

We’re set up for special occasions, family trips, girls trips, bromances, sexy time, workcation, or a solo pilgrimage.

At DT Wild you can soak in the hot tub, rekindle, sleep in, stargaze, hang by the fireplace, hike, watch movies, play games, namaste it up, dance it off, soak up the sun, play in the snow, and yes we have fast Wifi.

The space
We're a Luxury Designer Cabin - Not your grandma's cabin.
We're so much better irl. Unlike anyone I've ever dated online.

The House has an open floor plan surrounded by windows so you can see tree tops, blue skies and starry nights. We have AC window units and central heat for you to regulate unlike my emotions.

There's a modern, chef's kitchen with brand new appliances (even an air-fryer) a coffee station (Keurig & French press), spices, oils, pots and pans, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, rice-cooker and all the things.

DINING ROOM: Our dining table sits six comfortably. Often used for highly competitive games- some are the very same games that typically ended in tears back in the day w/ my siblings.

LIVING ROOM: We have the comfiest sectional couch. Wifi throughout the house, Smart TV, snacks, extra blankets and a wood burning fireplace. (byo wood) We have modern heat other than the fireplace. Don't ya worry.

HOT TUB TIME MACHINE UNDER THE STARS: Our hot tub is divine. And it's totally private and maintained. We keep it running all the time. No extra charge. We got you. Just don't have relations in it. Nobody needs a UTI.

PRIMARY BEDROOM: You will have epic sleeps because it's so quiet. There's a small fan if you need that white noise because some people aren't used to this kind of quiet. The brand new King foam allergy free bed has a medium/firm feel with soft premium sheets and a mattress layer that heats up by remote if you really want to get toasty under the covers. (winter only) Also in the bedroom is a dresser, television w/smart TV and "Amish fireplace." It's electric. .There's a sliding glass door that leads to the deck if you want to pop out for some air.

I'm still thinking about the Amish fireplace. It doesn't make sense. They don't use electricity.

SECOND BEDROOM: Or what I call the "Hello Kitty bedroom." King bed. Work station. AC window unit. Shadiest room with tree coverage. Next to the 1/2 bathroom if you have a tiny bladder.

LOW KEY THIRD BEDROOM- Oh it's sexy. Lofted ceilings. Brand new king bed that is slightly softer than the other. Luxury sheets and so many pillows you're bound to find your favorite. And a pop of color. Who doesn't love a pop of color? My painter that's who. He questioned me throughout the entire renovation. When he wasn't day drinking.

We really want this to be a relaxed, chill house so pardon my hesitation about promoting our quite, peaceful third bedroom. If you are a group of six you will have plenty of room. No parties or we'll lose our license.

If you really need the third bedroom we will ask for an extra cleaning/linen fee.
We're really trying to save on water/laundry... $60
Plus our rates are well below what airbnb suggests we should have them.

MAIN BATHROOM: The bathroom is small but mighty. The floors heat up, the tub is for two, the shower pressure hits you like a soft summer rain. Or a hard winter rain. Depending on the setting. If you open the windows in the spring and summer you shower under the lilac trees. In the winter they're just sad sad twig branches.

HALF BATH: Two toilets keep couples together! I call this room the "Bigfoot room." My painter also had a problem with my palate choice for this room. He did not finish the renovation. I got fed up with his painter-mansplaining. Look at me setting boundaries!

THE OFFICE: We have a desk in the low key third bedroom.

THE DISCO ROOM: Our throwback room that was actually a closet I removed to create a "room." Complete with shag carpet, a floor lounger, disco ball and a real record player! I have vinyl, but byo if the spirit moves ya. We have speakers, and headphones.

THE FIREPLACE: There is an old school wood burning fireplace. Not Amish! BYO wood. We'll try to give you a cheater log (duraflame). Please be a fire pro to use this. Please don't burn down our mountain town. Winter only!

JUNIOR VARSITY FIREPLACE - We have an electric "Amish" fireplace in the primary bedroom. It has the glow and the feel of a real one, and even puts off some heat, but it's a dupe. Like my Gucci slides. Ssshhhhh. I don't know why it's called Amish. I even did my forth grade book report on the Amish and there was no mention of this fireplace. I digress..

TECH: We have everything you need to connect to the modern world. You can zoom and day trade with our high speed wifi.

I work in the biz (stunts) and thus obsessed with television. Even before I worked in production I was obsessed. It's the only time my ADHD doesn't spin out. Whateves. Everyone has something. Anyway, there are two smart televisions, a blue tooth speaker, headphones, an old mini Ms Pacman that I haven't figured out how to work, hopefully someone will lmk! There are itty bitty book lights so you can read while your partner sleeps. We have a telescope under the welcome table. There is also a record player. Please feel free to bring your own vinyl and please don't take mine home!

COFFEE: This is mentioned a few times because it's our most common question other than "can we check in early" which is totally okay to ask (the answer is usually "yes") we have a Keurig machine & pods, French press and ground beans from Joshua Tree Coffee. Also tea, cocoa, sugar...byo dairy.

WASHER AND DRYER: For three nights or more you can do laundry. BYO detergent. You can use the dryer to dry your suits or hot tub towels.

THE OUTSIDE: We have a deck on one side of the house and a private fenced yard on the other side. There are places to sit, eat, swing, play, read and chill. We have a propane BBQ too. We provide the propane.
For no extra charge.

HIKES: Idy has some of the best hiking in the states. Forgive me for not providing directions at this time. Too many hikes. All within 5-10 minutes from the house. We have maps and guide books in the cabin.

TOWN: We are a two minute drive to the center of town. We are a fifteen minute walk to Alpaca coffee and Mile High cafe. Or you can bike (at your own risk) with the hybrid mountain bikes we provide. We are in a very walkable neighborhood so explore freely. Even though the listing says "Idy Pine Cove" we are not in Pine Cove. We are in Idyllwild proper. You don't want to be in Pine Cove. It's too far from town.

PETS: We allow pets, but you must disclose that you're bringing a pet and that means dogs only. Two dogs tops. We have a pet fee as does every pet friendly house in Idy. One fee even if you have one of the tiniest of dogs. We have a one time fee of $100 for bringing up to two dogs.

Additional pet rules are listed under "Other details to note" on the platform. It is up to you to read /learn about our pet rules.

INTERIOR:

THE LOFT IS OFF LIMITS!
THE LADDER TO THE LOFT IS OFF LIMITS!

Look at me using ALL CAPS!

If you disobey this request and we have to send our cleaners up into the loft to arrange the tapestry or pick up the tiniest of things, we will charge you $500.

THAT IS $500 BIG SMACKEROONIES FOR CLIMBING THE LADDER INTO THE LOFT.

There is nothing up there other than a spider or two and you are guaranteed to bump your head and bleed out.

Don't bleed out during your vacation.

If you sustain an injury on the ladder, not only are we not liable, but if we have to shut down business, you will be liable.

THIRD BEDROOM -
We have three bedrooms, but our cleaning is priced for two beds. If you use the third bed we will charge an extra cleaning fee of $60. No workaround.

********
EXTERIOR:
There is a house way down the driveway. Although that is our OG/sister property, their yard and amenities are off limits.

There is a shed down the driveway with extra construction materials. Don't go in it. It's gross. And creepy. And you'll get tentanus.

We have a swing. Swing at your own risk. If you hit the side of the house and sustain a boo boo that falls under "your own risk."

Don't make a baby in the swing. Just go back inside the house.

Ugh. I despise "rules" but they're necessary.

Make good choices!

Other things to note
No parties. Seriously no parties.

PETS + PET FEES:
We allow pets (DOGS only) and we have a one time 100$ pet fee. Two dogs max. ($100 covers both dogs)
We do not allow pets on the furniture or beds so if you like to sleep with your dog byo sheets/blankets or covers so we are not washing your dog hair for hours. It clogs are washers!

If your pet soils our sheets or furniture an additional cost will occur.

Please pick up all of your doggy poop in the yard.

If you sneak in a dog we will know. We have become pet detectives.

Soiled Linens: It happens and we're very good about removing stains, but if we can't remove stains and I have to purchase new ones we will charge for the replacement and our cleaners extra time.

Soiled pillow cases: $50
Soiled sheets: $75
Soiled duvet cover: $100
Soiled duvet insert: $100

Weather:

Idy is 5400 feet which means if it's raining below it's most likely snowy above. Which is awesome. What's not awesome is sometimesthe icy conditions at night and early morning so please check local weather conditions for the drive up the mountain. I will not give you the weather scoop.

I'm saying it twice...because I need to hear things a few times before it sinks in. So said most of my teachers.
It's up to you to check road conditions/chains...
I like to check on the "Caltrans" website.

CRITTERS: Every single house in the mountains gets little critters. We are diligent about cleaning, but you might see some flies, a spider and or on the rare case a mousey. You will not be refunded if you see them.

My work: Stunt Coordinator
I spend too much time: Wondering if I have ADHD
Born and raised in Baltimore (Go O's!) went to college in Arizona (majored in tanning and sport psychology), moved to NYC (to become a professional stunt woman/stunt coordinator) which led me to California. A drummer I dated way back when (I know I know) brought me to JT on a road trip. My heart exploded. I was in awe. Of the place. Not the boy. I left the drummer and stayed in the desert. Nuff said!
