This was the Perfect place for us to Unplug, reset and completely relax. We enjoyed roaming the property, doing a bit of catch & release fishing in the ponds and Loved the pool area. You can even pick blueberries! We hear that the chickens will be laying eggs soon and you will be able to gather them too. Everything you need is close by in Abita Springs, which is a great little town to explore. We enjoyed the Mystery Museum and the Art/Farmers Market they have on Sundays. We also collected spring water from the fountain by the round about in town. Larry & Co. are great and are very prompt if you need anything. We highly recommend this spot and will be back.

We loved our stay at the cabin! The trees and brush surrounding it provided the perfect amount of privacy and were so beautiful. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer to explore more of the property. Thanks for a great stay!

If you're looking to get away for a couple nights or a full week, this place is amazing. My wife and I went for 4 nights and it was exactly what we were looking for. There are restaurants and grocery stores that you can drive to, but we brought most of our food and cooked in the cabin the entire time. We came prepared with everything we thought we might need, but most of what we would have needed for cooking was already there! Great place!

Loved the place. We had an issue with our flight and we really appreciated Larry being so accommodating to us. We offered to stay elsewhere for the night but he insisted we come even though we didn't make it until midnight. He met us at the end of the road in the golf cart to guide us to the cabin. The cabin is beautiful, quiet and peaceful as is the surrounding area. Explored the site in the morning and then drove to New Orleans only bout an hour away. Overall very happy and enjoyable. Keep in the mind there is no internet but you shouldn't need it. You should be there to enjoy the area!

We found the Be & Be when searching for a way to explore the greater New Orleans area from a more rural home base. This suited our needs very well. The piece of land is peaceful, beautiful, and interesting. It's not remote in that there are at least three other houses and two RV's on the property, but these structures are well spaced out and we found it to be very quiet and relaxing. I walked the entire property most mornings with my baby daughter, and sat in the grass by the various ponds, and rarely saw another person! That said, Larry was close by and very responsive if we needed anything. We had to use the heater in the cabin for part of the time, and it was easy to make it comfortable even on chilly nights. From the Be & Be we visited New Orleans and Fontainebleau State Park to the south, and Bogue Chitto State Park and the Global Wildlife Center to the north. It was a roughly 45 min drive to each of these destinations, which suited us well because we wanted to see the countryside. The town of Abita Springs has a great cafe and a trailhead for the Tammany Trace Rail Trail! (If only we had bikes...) This was the kind of experience that makes me greatly appreciate Airbnb as a pathway to unique destinations we would otherwise know nothing about.

If you're looking for a quiet secluded place this is the place for you. Something we weren't aware of was the fact that you can not drive to the location you have to take a golf cart. It was freezing and we arrived after dinner, thankfully my husband had a flash light or we would have had a super hard time. I wouldn't recommend this place in the winter as there were no instructions on how to turn on the fireplace and without it the cabin was extremely cold. It's also worth noting that there is no shower just a bath tub that only fills up about 1/4 of the way before running out of hot water. All this being said if youre aware of the situation and want a secluded and private place to rough it, this is a great spot.
