Beautifully remodeled and updated lakeside cottage nestled in a horseshoe of woods on Kemah Lake. The large lawn takes you down to the water's edge of the "quiet" lake - no motors here; canoes and paddleboards in the summer, ice fishing and skating in winter. A log burning stove keeps the cottage warm and ambient all winter long.
Access to two private beaches featuring year-round lake activities - canoeing, swimming, etc. Enjoy wonderful lakeside evenings less than 90 minutes from New York.

Kemah Lake is a beautiful private and serene lake. Hikers, bikers, horse lovers, baseball lovers, and stargazers are all welcome! There's fantastic hikes nearby, including Appalachian Trail, Delaware River walks or kayaking, and Childs Park just 20 minutes away. Beautiful walking, biking, horse trails and many other scenic lakes nearby. We are near the Sussex County Fairgrounds and Skylands Baseball Stadium. The nearest towns are classic Milford, PA and Newton, NJ (if you need to run errands such as grocery shopping, there's a Shop Rite and a Walmart).

Lake Kemah is approx 2.4 miles around, perfect for biking and jogging.

Nearby Lafayette Township features the largest antique center in New Jersey - The Mill. Visit Bog Water Jim's, a personal favorite, with well-curated curios, furniture, and art, and for a bite try the nearby Millside Café, a recommended spot for breakfast or lunch (cash only).
There are hikes and pathways along the riverside there.

Classic Milford, PA is a 20 min drive and features shops and great food, such as Bar Louie in the historic Hotel Fauchere. The patio is great for brunch or dinner in summer.

As mentioned, there's amazing hiking, jogging and biking trails nearby.
The cottage is 5 mins away from an access point to the Appalachian trail; Culvers Gap Appalachian Trail parking.
Paulinskill Valley Rail Trail in Lafayette Township only 15 mins away from the cabin down Halsey Road.
Kittatinny Valley State Park that is 20 minutes away via County Road 519 and US 206. The Sussex Trail as part of The Great Valley Trail Loop at Allamuchy State Park is 30 mins away via US 206 S.

Skiing in the winter is close by at Mountain Creek Ski Resort 30 minutes down Beaver Run Road, and Shawnee Mountain Ski Area is approx. 45 minutes via 209.
Mountain Creek also features golf courses in the summer time. There are other local golf courses of vary degrees of difficulty and formality within a 10-20 min drive.
