  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for a little less than a month while we got situated in Vancouver as we had literally just relocated to BC. Pat and Louie (and Mary!) are an amazing family and we felt nothing but comfortable and welcome from before we even arrived.

They were super accommodating as our train into Vancouver didn't arrive until late in the night and even waited up for our tired traveling selves to great us at the door!

The room itself was perfect for what we needed... A nice place to come home to at the end of the day. The bed was large enough for the two of us and they provided us with clean towels in our own private bathroom. There's a key to lock the door if you feel like you need more privacy, but we never once felt like there would be any problems of that sort. There's also tv and wifi... Something any newbie needs while they sort out their lives in the city!

We can't say enough good things about this house and family. They are warm and have really made this transition into a new place that much easier.

  • Pat and Louie are really nice welcoming and helping hosts! My parents really enjoyed their stay in Richmond. The room was clean and comfortable and nothing was missing.
    Thanks Pat and Louie!

  • Pat and Louie were very nice hosts. The room was okay, not the cleanest one, we had some cobwebs in the room and the bed linen was dirty. The bed is for two people a little bit to small, but for a short time it's okay. You meet a lot of people in the house, can use the kitchen and had a own bathroom.
The price performance ratio was okay!

    Response from Pat:

Thanks for the feedback, we've found the cobweb and cleaned it right up, and our apologies for the bed linen -- the room window was left open before your arrival and some of the dust from the cleaning next-door had come in. We'll be sure to close the window when our neighbor is cleaning. As for the bed, it is a standard queen-sized bed with a premium Sealy double-thickness mattress. We've never had complaints about it, and actually have received quite a few compliments from couples about the comfort of the bed itself.

Again, we really enjoyed your stay with us and our international guests from Germany and Australia also mentioned it was very nice to meet you.

  • Pat's room had the best shower ever. The room was generally clean when we arrived. He was very accomodating and we had good access to use the kitchen. Thanks very much Pat for the wonderful stay!

  • I had a wonderful experience staying with Roomselect! The room was clean and comfortable and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful! It was lovely getting the opportunity to chat with Louie and Mary- we had such great conversations! Louie is also an amazing artist so staying here also meant staying in a fantastic art gallery! I highly recommend staying with Louie and Roomselect!

  • Louie and Pat are really nice hosts. They made my stay very comfortable. Pat showed me around at the first day and he recommended me a lot of insider tips. Also the room was quite cosy.
So I can recommend this place for everybody who comes to vistit the vancouver area!

  • I had a very good time at the house. Louie is a great host and Pat organized everything very well. The private entry and en-suite bathroom are very convenient. The place is very practical with a car, making it easy to get to many places avoiding the city center congestions! Public transports are very close too, expect 45 minutes to get to downtown. Planes from/to the airport fly directly above, but it never bothered me - no flights at night.
    A great value.

  • I felt immediately welcome by both Pat and Louie. Louie took the time to get me oriented, and highlighted many suggestions of places that might interest me off the common guidebook plans. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed my stay immensely.
