Tai Ping Shan Street is around 10 mins walk from Sheung Wan MTR station.
Nearby there are galleries, cafe, as well as traditional Chinese restaurants and antique store.
The famous Hollywood Road is only 5 mins away.
You can walk to Soho for only 10 mins and 15 mins walk to Central.
Good for expats and mid / long term visitors. It is only HK$ 250 a night for 2 persons!!
"Studio Apartment in SOHO; all new furnishing offers every comfort for guests travelling on business or leisure. Apartments are stylishly furnished with meticulous attention to detail,ideally located and close to leisure amenities in SOHO and key business centres in Central. We also have good access to main transport networks. We just don't offer a bed for the night, but rather the space, freedom and flexibility of a fully equipped apartment-space to work, relax and entertain.
Please bring your own towels and toiletries for healthy issues.
We need two weeks notice for extension of stay. Minimum of 28 nights.
Any tenant who proceed with the booking has agreed the terms and condition below.
**Terms & Condition**
1.Time for taking possession of the premises by the Tenant (check-in time) shall be 2:00p.m on the date of commencement of the lease.
2.The minimum lease is one month. If the Tenant decides to terminate the lease before expiry, the Tenant has to pay for the rent of the whole lease term without refund of the rent deposit.
3.Upon the expiry of the lease, the tenant shall attend the office of the Landlord during office hour for return of deposit in cash. If such expiry day is a public holiday or Sunday, the attendance to the Landlord’s office and return of rent deposit in cash shall automatically be postponed to the next working day.
4.If the Tenant shall after reservation of the premises fails to execute this Agreement and pay for the rent deposit and other payment as herein stipulated the security deposit paid upon reservation shall be forfeited to the Landlord absolutely without any prior notice.
5.The Deposit shall be retained by the Landlord throughout the term of this Agreement free of any interest to the Tenant with power for the Landlord without prejudice to any other right or remedy hereunder to deduct there from the amount of any costs expenses loss or damage sustained by the Landlord as a result of any breach non-observance or non-performance by the Tenant of any such agreement stipulation or condition. In the event of any deduction being made by the Landlord from the Deposit in accordance herewith during the currency of this Agreement the Tenant shall forthwith on demand by the Landlord make a further deposit equal to the amount so deducted and failure by the Tenant so to do shall entitle the Landlord forthwith to re-enter upon the premises and to determine this Agreement as hereinbefore provided.
6.The Landlord shall only be required to provide one set of the keys to the premises to the Tenant who shall return the same in its original form to the Landlord upon checking out. Any replacement shall be charged at HK$250.00 per key and if the Landlord shall render extra service in opening the door to the premises before 9:00am or after 6:00pm upon the request of the Tenant, an additional service charge of HK$250.00 shall be levied for each of the attendances rendered.
7.All legal costs and expenses incurred by the Landlord (on a solicitor and own client basis ) in demanding payment of rent and/or any other legal proceedings taken by the Landlord against the Tenant as a result of default of payment of rent by the Tenant or the breach by the Tenant of any covenants or conditions herein contained shall be recoverable from the Tenant as a debt or be deductible by the Landlord from the Deposit held by the Landlord hereunder.
8.The Tenant which includes rates, water, electricity, broadband, management with other service charges must be paid in advance without any deduction whatever on the 1st day of each and every rental period.
How should we speak about a guest when know that behind Simens is an agency as it is possible to find each 300 meters in Hong Kong.
Simens cheats the all system by passing himself as a particular into its website.
The first flat that you will select from him will probably be busy, then he will keep your reservation into process until you will book another flat of his agency. Not fair at all.
Then you will find flat which is 30 % more expensive than the real cost of the market.
With the HK standards this flat cost is 7000HKD/month.
After having been stolen by the agency, they will ask to pay a deposit…deposit that you have to pick back at one hour, door by door, from your house…
About the mine :
It was dedicated for one person, clearly two people cannot live into this place. No light from outside, no insolation for the noise, you will live with your neighbor in other words.
Very low internet connection, 2 minutes hot water in the shower, impossible to cook anything in the "kitchen". Absolutely no possibility to store your stuff.
Think to organize by yourself the check out … !
How it's possible to rent such place will you think… by being trapped by shameless people as Simens which are enough lightning to abuse of Airbnb main principle : confidence.
Never go with him.
Only two positives points to finish, kindness of the people who come each week to clean your room: she is very far i think from the dirty deal of Simens.
And the area, amuzing area full of good resterant art gallery.
If the place is not well descripted, Arnaud can ask for refund. However, he did not because the description is true and photos are real. Arnaud booked an single apartment at HKD8000 per month. Of course it can only provide you with basic living standard compare with other service apartments in Sheung Wan/Central, but those apartments are at least 20 thousand per month. If you are interested in booking our apartment, please DO NOT compare it with other 5-stars apartments. In addition, Sheung Wan/Central have the most highest rent rate in the world, rent rate are even higher for lease less than 1 year. So we believe our price is quite reasonable.
I'm very glad we ended up renting his apartment, it was tiny (like any other apartment in Hong Kong) but super clean, great service and located in what became my favorite area. Full of restaurants and bars around and easy access to tramways and train. I will highly recommend it if you are planing to visit Hong Kong and spend most of the time out!
Simens is a great host! He is accommodating and highly responsive. He is always willing to help with any queries. The unit at Tai Ping Shan is in a highly convenient and prime location. It is 5 minutes walk from Sheung Wan MTR and have many nice cafes right outside the area.
Also, Simens allowed me to move my belongings one day earlier into my new apartment which is nice and understanding of him. I would highly recommend his service and units to other travelers to Hong Kong who are looking for a functional and cosy, but yet affordable stay.
Simens was very friendly and prompt in answering any queries and requests. However, the place was too small in my opinion for even 1 person, let alone 2. Location was good however. I can't recommend this place unless u r really on a shoestring budget.
Thank you for your review Adrian. You are true. In Central, financial center of Asian, the housing fee is just behind New York. Only if you are very keen to stay in Central or SOHO area and in a budget, you will choose to stay here! Of course, comparing to any bedrooms for residential building in Central, it is a fair size.

About the Host, Simens
Most of the properties belong to my relatives. The rest belong to me.
The service is not as good as hotel service. The place is not as spacious as a 300CNY hotel in China. All places are rented for long term before by Hong Kong locals. Yes. We ourselves live in same kind of condition.
We are offering a place in convenient location and with very local Hong Kong lift style. Of course, comparing to hotel, our places are at least 50% cheaper in same size.
