  • Helen has set aside the whole lower level of her home as a lovely holiday apartment. It is immaculately clean, the linens on the beds were wonderful, pillows were great. The common space was nicely appointed and she had brochures and a folder of ideas of things to do in and around Rotorua. We saw several things we would not have done had we not chatted with her. The kitchen was a little small, but everything worked great and she even had little breakfast packs for us the first night so we had something to eat the first morning there. We would stay again, and would highly recommend Helen's Holiday Apartment.

Hello Christopher,Thank you for your feedback. I am renovating the kitchen now which will be completed this week. It will have more bench space, a larger fridge.

  • Extremely welcoming and affable hosts, even inviting us to join them at their family barbecue - which we did! Great cooking Sam - thanks! Plenty of space, clean and comfy. Very useful laundry facilities. Easy access to town. All in all, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend.

  • Myself and group of friends have just spent a week in Rotorua mountain biking. This was made all the more special by the hospitality on offer at Helen's place.
Every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations, perfect communication pre trip, spotlessly clean, well furnished and above all exceptionally friendly host Helen.
The spacious house is well placed in a quiet cul de sac and proved the best place to relax after a hard days mountain biking nearby in Whakewera forest.
Highly recommended and we would love to stay again given another visit to Rotorua!

  • Really enjoyed our time in Helen's apartment. It was super quiet, clean and very comfortable and suited us just fine. We felt very at home here and could come and go at our convenience.

Helen was very helpful in providing information about what to do in Rotorua and suggesting great restaurants plus she had a whole folder on things to do and see.

The strawberries in the fridge were an added touch and everything was there for our convenience including continental breakfast and all amenities.

  • Helen's accommodation is very conveniently situated for those with a car. She is an excellent host who provided us with lots of useful information on a wide range of topics, as well as some discount vouchers. her beds are very comfortable. Her kitchen facilities are currently limited, but we understand that they are to be upgraded next year.
