It was a great stay to be right in the city and to explore La Paz. Lindsay is so nice and helpful. You are close to all you need, bus station, shops, markets, tourist areas, restaurants. It is a very safe area and perfect for what I wanted to do and the time I had. Thanks!

I don't think I would stay anywhere else next time I'm in La Paz. Lindsay was simply charming, attentive and the room clean and central. A great price and within walking distance to everything I needed. Her list of things to do and see, places to eat she sent was a great added bonus. Simplemente simpatiquísima . Hasta la próxima.

Lindsay was a fantastic host. I arrived very very early in the morning but she organised for a taxi to pick me up from the airport and arranged for me to stay in a different apartment to that I originally requested for the rest of that morning/day while I got settled and waited for the original room to become habitable. She helped me with some of my Spanish, and showed me maps and gave me directions around town. When I was suffering from the cold she recommended that I go down to coroico, and then called the taxi for me, gave me information about the area, and even let me to leave some of my things at her apartment for the weekend while I was away. The apartment is in San Pedro, and is easy walking distance from the tourist district and the markets but also far enough away that it is not overrun by the same sort of bustle, although the streets are still very busy. It seemed safe and easy to navigate, and was very near a range of beautiful streets through Sopocachi and San Pedro. The house was spacious and clean, the bed warm and comfortable, and the shower had hot water (at Bolivian water pressure, but could be made very hot!) The Wi-Fi was considerably better than a lot I have used. There was a washing machine which we were allowed to use for our laundry, and the kitchen had saucepans and other basic utensils. All in all it was a very livable and comfortable place with an exceptionally helpful and friendly host, and I would love to stay there again when I am next in La Paz.

I didn't go to Lindsay's place because on my way to La Paz I've been told that it was not a safe area..especially for me that I was alone. The person who's told me that is from La Paz so I trusted him. Just double check before you go.

Response from Lindsay:
Dear DAniel, like I write you back in your late message after 5 hours waiting you at home for your check in, The house is located in one of the safest and really well connected central area of La Paz city center. We have arround the house Buildings offices of the government, transnationals, banks, also 1 bank in our building, 3 universities and schools and the police office is in front of the house. Think the person that tell you that dont really know about the city center area and sopocachi. You can revise the other guest reference and also Tripadvisor.
