The Space

Pet Friendly!!! Comfortable king size bed, closet and chest of drawers, private bath with shower, easy on-street parking, vegetable garden, large deck with grill, owner occupied. Host is warm and friendly. Use of fully stocked kitchen, with some fruit available but please bring your own food. Will make delicious smoothies for breakfast sometimes depending on my schedule. Unique, funky wood-burning stove, a very friendly cat and a sweet mellow puppy, tv & dvd player in living room, warm and cozy home, lots of great books to read during your stay. 2 minute walk to bus, 5 minute walk to grocery store, 10 minute walk to boats, kayak rentals, beach, restaurant, 15 minute walk to downtown, ferry, shops/restaurants, great yoga studio. 5 miles from GG bridge, short drive from some of the most beautiful hiking in the world. 20 minute drive to Mt. Tamalpais, Muir Woods, amazing beaches, Marin Headlands. Host will happily take you for hikes if schedule allows. Can also take you as guests to Harbor Point Swim Club for a lovely swim in a gorgeous, outdoor, heated pool by Richardson Bay, again, if schedule allows. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer, and keep food in the fridge. In addition to the king sized bed, I have a full sized air mattress that can comfortably sleep 2 and a couch that is very comfortable which I can rent out as well, if you have more than 4 people.

  • Staying here is always such a nice treat. It's so quiet with a warm atmosphere. The bed is very, very comfortable and the room spacious. It's only minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, so the city is readily accessible. And some very nice breakfast places nearby.

If you are from out of town, be sure to check about paying tolls on the Golden Gate Bridge. There are no toll takers, and if your rental car company handles it, there is usually a surcharge.

  • This is a wonderful place to stay! Clean, quiet and very restful. The bridge toll plaza is 10 minutes away. The bed is exceptional. You wake up in the morning to quiet instead to street noise, and there is an actual sense of relaxation in the house.

Will stay here again and again!

  • We had a very comfortable stay at Leila's place. The bed was enormous and bathroom spotless and Leila is a gentle and welcoming host. The house is close to a bus stop but a little out of the way if you don't have a car.

  • Great experience for my first visit to Sausalito! Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Leila but she was very communicative and flexible from the beginning which made things much easier. She left us some healthy snacks and beverages and food menus when we first got in. She was also flexible with our checkout time. We didn't get to meet the cat but Tate the pup was a sweetheart who was very open to belly rubs.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean. Great location, about a 30 min easy walk from the ferry for us. Would do again!

  • My friend and I were in Sausalito enjoying the atmosphere and realized we wanted to stay there. It was around 3pm so we weren't having luck finding a reasonably priced place, then we found Leila! Her place is very close to downtown (within walking distance), great location, clean, comfy bed, peaceful and lots of positive energy. I'm sure it comes from her, Clyde (the cat) and Tate (the dog).

Leila was not there to greet us (as we gave short notice so it's not her fault) but we were able to get in and rest before dinner. There were snacks and beverages for us plus a nice selection of menus of the restaurants close by.

When we returned Leila was there, we had a nice late evening chat and got to know Tate, what a sweetie. We didn't get to meet Clyde but maybe next time. We will definitely book Leila's place again!

  • This was my second airb&b experience and another wonderful one at that!

Leila lives in a very nice part of Sausalito. Parking is on the street, and safe and access is convenient. The house is very clean, quiet and welcoming. Leila was not home when I arrived, but her dog was and we had a very nice chat and tummy tickle. The bedroom is up two short flights of stairs with the large bath next door. Everything was clean and ready. The bed is large and very comfortable.

When Leila got home, we had a nice talk and shared some laughter. Leila gave me some nice pointers on where to eat breakfast, but, actually, after a night of playing music, I slept in, woke up late and was on my way.

I'll be back in a few weeks, and I'm looking forward to it!

  • Leila was a wonderful host, she has a dog who is very friendly and quite the character. Her house is well located for Sausalito and I stayed there before an early flight from SFO which worked well. The room was big, comfortable and clean - I would really recommend anyone looking around here to book with her. She produced menus and recommendations for almost every place in town when I asked about somewhere for supper!

I love to travel, spend time in nature, do yoga and garden. I enjoy the Airbnb experience as I get to meet lots of lovely people from all over the world! I live with my sweet cat, Clyde and puppy Tate. I am blessed to have many amazing friends and a loving family. As a host I provide a very clean and cosy room and bathroom. I put out some healthy snacks, toiletries in case a guest has forgotten something and give you lots of privacy and space. My favorite travel destinations so far are Alaska, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco and Italy. I hope to do a lot more traveling in the future!
