About This Listing
Bedroom in the back of a cosy house near Vila Madalena Subway Station, in a lovely neighbourhood in Vila Pompéia.
Confortable and charming 2 floor house, with a nice sunny terrace with a lot of plants.
The room is cosy and comfortable, it's in the back of the house with it's own entrance so you have a good privacy when you want, and you can have all the house to stay comfortable.
It's just beside a bathroom (practically private WC, since I use the bathroom upstairs. tiny but cosy :) .
Fully equipped kitchen. Wireless internet connection (broadband - optical fiber).
There is an option for one more person, sleeping on an extra mattress (on the floor).
I have another room in the house, bigger, with double-size bed: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/645040
The street is very quiet during the night (something rare in São Paulo). Many garage based business (family business) along the street (like tailor, bar, joinery, repair shop) gives a vivid atmosphere during the day.

Other Things to Note
I'm a graphic designer and musician. I usually work in the house, as a freelancer. I like to show curious stuff in the city. I speak english, italian and a little bit of spanish (and obviously portuguese :-).
Wash your dishes ;
Keep the house organized and clean ;
Loud music (or noise) is not allowed after 22h (city rules) ;
Keep the doors locked after leaving the house ;
You can use the wash machine (and the soap as well :-) ;
Feel free to use the house (inside and outside), just keeping all organized after use ;
Ricardo is a great host. The house is quite similar to as it is in the ad. Is very clean, comfortable and can use easily every part of it. The kitchen has everything you need and the roof is cool for read or drink a beer. The neighborhood is very quiet (this means also limited shops around). Probably, the worst part is that the metro is 10 blocks in rise, but if you don't have any physical trouble, is not so big deal. I really enjoyed my stay here and certainly, I would be back again.
This was my second time staying with Ricardo, so its certainly worth coming back to. Ricardo is a really nice guy, and will make you feel welcome at his place and in the city. Sadly I couldnt really join him for anything this time around. The house is really relaxed and the side entrance is really convenient. Location is good, the walk to the metro is short, and taking a taxi anywhere from there is pretty easy and fairly cheap. I would for sure go back a third time.
Ricardo has a lovely home and he is a fantastic host. Everything was as it is suggested in his description and previous reviews. Ricardo is knowledgeable about not only where to go in São Paulo, but what issues are important to the people living there, which certainly enriched my time in the city.
Ricardo's place is cozy for such a small space; it even has a nice garden on the balcony where one can stretch out on a lazy morning. Above all, I like that it's very close to the metro in a safe neighbourhood. Ricardo is easy to get along with as he speaks good English and will engage you in conversation when you feel like it but still respects your space when you need it.
I recommend his place.
Everything was great. Ricardo is a very helpful person. House very clean. Bedroom is small, but you can use full complicated kitchen, living room and terrace. Metro is not far. About 10-15 minutes walking. There are some markets and restaurants near the house. Location is really great - 3 metro stations to the centre of Sao Paolo. Very quiet and safe area.
Ricardo was very nice and receptive as a host. His place is located about 12-15 minutes walking distance from the metro in a quiet residential area. Convenient during the day because there is a big supermarket chain store nearby and also a very good bakery shop. At night, I would recommend taking a cab to the station because the businesses close and the whole area gets empty and silent.
The house is great, the room is as advertised but the private restroom is tiny.
Even though we didn't have the chance to interact very much, I know that Ricardo is a musician and has a fine taste for some of the best events and parties Sao Paulo has to offer. Definitely recommended for anyone and mainly for those who want tips for cultural, artistic and electronic music venues in general.
