Awesome view of lagoon, only ten min from Dominical. Great birding!
This cabina is a birder's dream because it overlooks the seasonal lagoon. Even in the dry season there is a great deal of activity. This is a spacious cabina with bold colors and funky decor. A large porch wraps two sides of the cabina and includes a screened-in outdoor kitchen. Coffee maker, blender, all dishes and pans, fridge and oven -- all right there! The full bath has propane powered on-demand hot water and a large tile shower. In the main area, a double bed and a double futon bed keeps everybody together. Coconuts, bananas and limes are all in the yard. And monkeys from time to time! The cabin is stocked with beach towels & a cooler bag for your daily excursions.
A week long rental includes a welcome basket of Costa Rican coffee, fresh fruit and other seasonal goodies!!!
A short drive up from the beach, at over 600 feet in elevation, enjoy cooler temps, amazing wildlife and breathtaking views of the valley and ocean below. Welcome to Edge of the World where our rental cabins are perched above 180 acres of private jungle, including several seasonal waterfalls, a lagoon, a wide variety of fruit trees, walking areas, birding and more -- right on the property!
World renown as a surf mecca, Dominical has amazing breaks and great beginner beaches just to the South. The sleepy little town with dirt roads is quiet and peaceful, but there are still bars, restaurants and shopping. Phenomenal beaches are a short drive in either direction, along with other amazing outdoor adventures like hiking, horse-back riding, ziplining, waterfalls and cultural destinations.

Traveling without wheels? No problem -- we're happy to have 'hitchers' when we have room, or we'll specifically take you to Dominical for only $5 per ride.
Luke and family were great! We were sorry we had to leave and return to home base in Tamarindo. It is a little rustic but comfortable. I love cooking in an outdoor kitchen. The bathroom had hot water and water pressure which is not always true in CR. We have stayed in fancier places but we loved being in the jungle here.
Every morning & evening we could sit on the porch and watch nature pass by. We would love to come back when the lagoon is full of water and get to see all the critters that come for water.
Thanks for everything, Luke.
Luke and his family were very kind and warm. They greeted us with a goodie basket filled with fruit, coffee, candy and cookies. Luke was very helpful in drawing us maps and giving us direction of places to go. There was hot water (which we figured out, as long as you flipped the switch on outside before each shower). The cabin was cute and kept bugs out. We rented a 4x4 which helped us easily get around, we couldn't imagine not having a car there.
Overall our stay was pleasant and it was great being in the middle of the jungle among all the animals! We recommend this place to anyone who is seeking an adventure and wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of a town.
Wonderful jungle experience. From our cabin we saw a group of white faced monkies, a giant iguana, deer, lots of birds and even a laughing falcon eating a snake.
Luke and his family were really nice and helpful.
