About This Listing
Hi! My one-bed flat is spacious, clean and filled with character. Conveniently located just a stones throw from Schönhauser Allee U and S-Bahn, and in pretty Prenzlauer Berg, it's the perfect base to discover Berlin.
A typical Berlin pad with large open rooms and lots of features - high ceilings, real wood floors, all done in a slightly shabby chic style... It was renovated only a little while back so is in great condition and has a new bathroom.
My boyfriend and I usually use this room as our living room, but love hosting friends, family & Airbnbers here from time to time. We have many international friends, so are used to having guests around.
Feel free to use bathroom and kitchen.
Interaction with Guests
We love interacting with our guests and usually don't say no to a glass of vino or beer. If you need any tips just let me know!
Public transport and a shopping center are only a two-minute walk away and the neighbourhood is filled with shops and cafés. There's even a grocery store and a bakery right downstairs - so if you do come home late at night you're greeted with the smell of fresh bread. We're a fifteen minute walk from Mauerpark, a ton of hip restaurants and great shopping on Kastanienallee and Pappelallee.
Other Things to Note
Just a couple of things: We only recently moved in and are putting lots of time and care into designing our home - so there are a few gaps, which we're filling slowly but surely.
The room has a private balcony and looks onto the road so there is a little traffic noise at busy times.
There are curtains for privacy, but they don't perfectly block the street lights, so it's probably not pitch-black but ok.
We have great neighbours, who are really friendly, including a bit of a lively child who lives above ;)
Please don't smoke inside the flat - balcony is ok but please close the door
Sorry, no large groups.
If you want to have visitors, please check with us beforehand.
Paula is an amazing host!!! she made us feel welcome right from the beginning. Her house is so beautiful, it is exactly what you see in the pictures. The bad was very comfortable and the whole house was tidy and clean. Every tip she gave was worth a fortune :) We were so glad that Paula was our first Airbnb experience! we will not hesitate to use Airbnb service again on our next vacation (I hope that our next experience in Airbnb will feel the same... though it will be hard to compete with ;)). Paula, i would like to thank you personally for the fabulous experience and for letting us FEEL AT HOME AWAY FROM HOME. hope to see you soon ;)

I had to travel to Berlin because of a trade fair, and chose this apartment because of its great location and easy connection to the ICC fair grounds. I love Paulas flat with its wooden floors, high ceilings and selected interior Design and decoration. The central location, only 5 mins by public transport to Alexanderplatz, along with the lovely neighbourhood makes it the perfect starting point to discover Berlin. Paula as the most thoughtful, charming and funny host one can imagine made my stay even more perfect and unforgettable. I even stayed two nights longer and enjoyed every second :)

About the Host, Paula
Massive foodie, photography enthusiast, lover of everything vintage & arty, 'multi-culti', love to discover new places by foot.
I work in comms and I'm one of those people who never sit still. Born in Poland, raised in Germany, my family now lives in France, I lived in the U.K. for 3 years before coming to Berlin in early 2013 for the next big challenge.
I love Airbnb because it enables me to work from all across the globe and because it makes me feel at home wherever I go. I've met some amazing people and experienced places as a near-local, and am super excited for what's still to come.
I'm a fan of long hellos and short goodbyes.
