About this listing
Hi! My one-bed flat is spacious, clean and filled with character. Conveniently located just a stones throw from Schönhauser Allee U and S-Bahn, and in pretty Prenzlauer Berg, it's the perfect base to discover Berlin.
A typical Berlin pad with large open rooms and lots of features - high ceilings, real wood floors, all done in a slightly shabby chic style... It was renovated only a little while back so is in great condition and has a new bathroom.
My boyfriend and I usually use this room as our living room, but love hosting friends, family & Airbnbers here from time to time. We have many international friends, so are used to having guests around.
Feel free to use bathroom and kitchen.
Interaction with Guests
We love interacting with our guests and usually don't say no to a glass of vino or beer. If you need any tips just let me know!
Public transport and a shopping center are only a two-minute walk away and the neighbourhood is filled with shops and cafés. There's even a grocery store and a bakery right downstairs - so if you do come home late at night you're greeted with the smell of fresh bread. We're a fifteen minute walk from Mauerpark, a ton of hip restaurants and great shopping on Kastanienallee and Pappelallee.
Other Things to Note
Just a couple of things: We only recently moved in and are putting lots of time and care into designing our home - so there are a few gaps, which we're filling slowly but surely.
The room has a private balcony and looks onto the road so there is a little traffic noise at busy times.
There are curtains for privacy, but they don't perfectly block the street lights, so it's probably not pitch-black but ok.
We have great neighbours, who are really friendly, including a bit of a lively child who lives above ;)
Please don't smoke inside the flat - balcony is ok but please close the door
Sorry, no large groups.
If you want to have visitors, please check with us beforehand.
About the Host, Paula
Massive foodie, photography enthusiast, lover of everything vintage & arty, 'multi-culti', love to discover new places by foot.
I work in Communications and I'm one of those people who never sit still. Born in Poland, raised in Germany, my family now lives in France, I lived in the U.K. for 3 years before coming to Berlin in late 2012 for the next big challenge.
I love Airbnb because it enables me to work from all across the globe and because it makes me feel at home wherever I go. I've met some amazing people and experienced places as a near-local, and am super excited for what's still to come.
I'm a fan of long hellos and short goodbyes.
