My California Craftsman home is located in City Heights, neighboring Normal Heights, Kensington, and North Park. This cozy little home was built in the 40's, and has original hardwood floors with vintage built in's and details. You'll be staying in the sunroom, a bright and airy room with large windows that allows for plenty of natural light to filter in. This is an attached sunroom located in the backend of the house, so you'll have plenty of privacy. Please note that this is not a studio, and is a private room in my cottage home.

The sunroom itself has a newly bought daybed that can be used as a sofa during the day, and can be pulled out into a King sized bed at night. There's a smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and more! I've stocked a bar cart in your room with supplies that you're welcome to during your stay. The sunroom has it's own entrance that opens up into a garden area.

Guest access
Guests will have their own private entrance that leads into their bedroom. Guests will also have access to a shared bathroom and some light kitchen use (microwave, fridge, and sink). If you would like to request more kitchen access such as light cooking, please let me know in the booking request.

Other things to note
-The house doesn't have central air, but we have space heaters, window unit AC, and fans.
-I HAVE TWO INDOOR CATS. While I vacuum on a daily basis, there will inevitably be some cat hair, so please don't book if you are allergic.
-The sunroom has single paned windows, so the room is susceptible to noise and temperature. I live in a pretty quiet neighborhood, and there is also a sound machine in the room in case you'd like to use it.
-The bed is a daybed that converts from a sofa to a king bed via two foam twin mattresses that are combined. The daybed frame is made out of wood, and the foam mattresses are supported by wooden slats, so there are no uncomfortable springs. Please note that the mattresses are more firmly cushioned than fluffy.
-San Diego is a pretty spread out city, so we recommend renting a car to take advantage of your stay! Our neighborhood is central, and is not more than a 20 minute drive from most points of interest. If you don't bring a car, Ubers are relatively cheap for that reason. In terms of food, there are a couple restaurants and a dive bar that are walking distance from our house.
-Our house has old plumbing. PLEASE do not flush anything other than toilet paper.
-We have a washer and dryer in the house. Please let me know if you need to do laundry- it is $5 per load of laundry.
-My roommate and I live in the house together, so the space is shared with two other people.

Mid-City, San Diego, California

City Heights is one of the most culturally diverse neighborhoods in San Diego. It's very central, and most points of interest shouldn't be more than a 20 minute drive. We love that there's any type of cuisine you can think of all within walking distance from our house. Mexican seafood food trucks, Vietnamese Beef pho noodle soup, Ethiopian food, Chinese take out, you name it! We're also a 5 minute drive/7 minute bike ride from North Park, Normal Heights, and Kensington. These neighboring areas are known for microbreweries, dive bars, and cute boutiques.
