This renovated rural farmhouse was designed to create a family home where nature inspires daily life. Colorful rooms mix with traditional and modern furniture which make this home fun and welcoming. One of the key features to the home is its outdoor space. This is a wonderful place to enjoy the frequent visits from wild deer and birds, or look for shooting stars. A short drive to many wineries, breweries, cideries, and Wintergreen Resort.

The space
This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2-story home is located on a 21-acre rural farm. It has a large open plan kitchen/dining space open to the living room with a full bathroom and laundry room on the ground floor. There is a large patio off of the kitchen complete with patio heaters in winter, pizza oven, grill, and fire pit area. There are 4 rooms upstairs: Bedroom 1 - a primary bedroom with queen platform bed and balcony, Bedroom 2 - a study with a queen pull out sofa couch, Bedroom 3 - kid’s room with queen platform bed, and Bedroom 4 - yoga room with a queen Japanese Shikibuton (floor bed) and single window bed.

There are Sonos speakers in the communal areas of the house plus a wonderful vinyl collection. The full kitchen has a blender, toaster, coffee maker, panini press, and waffle maker. There is a hot tub which uses a chlorine-free system, Baqua Spa, on the back deck. During the summer there is a large garden where seasonal produce may be available, plus a herb garden for meals and a fun sensory adventure for children.

The residence has plenty of toys and books for kids over 6 years old. There are board games for older kids and adults. The outdoor space is fun: there is a swurfer swing under a tree and a ninja obstacle course, plus chickens for egg-collecting. Spruce Creek runs through the property (younger kids need supervision around creek) and there are walking paths throughout the woods. The house faces southeast, so it does not get sunsets, but does have moon rises, truly special when seen from the upstairs balcony. The sound of Spruce Creek can lull you to sleep.

Please note, this is our primary residence where we leave our personal items. Absolutely no parties allowed and please treat our home with respect. We appreciate it!
